thank enough the volunteers who donated countless hours of their time to help with these fund-raising efforts. We have a club meeting on the first Wednes day of the month starting at 7:00pm. The first meeting of the month is also a pot luck dinner starting at 6:00pm. On the third Wednesday of the month, we have an impromptu meeting/ social hour at 7:00pm. By the time the November MSA newslet ter comes out, we’re hoping for some cold weather to firm up the ground ahead of what we hope to be a huge snowfall winter. We can only hope as the past few years have been dis mal in this part of the state. We are overdue for a good winter down here. Cheers Doug Doherty, President SEBAGO BRANCH DUCKERS Sebago, ME Like us on Facebook or message us at sebagobranchduckers@gmail.com Hello Everyone! It seems strange writing about club trail work with the warm weather we’ve had, but here we are.
system as well. The previous Sunday the crew led by Tony Lash and his heavy equipment headed South towards Friendship where they did trench work, bridge repairs, and removed some large rocks on the trails. We would like to thank Tony Lash for the heavy equipment use, Ben Scott, Carl Gushee, David Neubig, Morganne Price, Dylan Barter for hard labor. During the off-season members often walk the trails for inspection so we can get a jump on the winter season maintenance. We are off to a great start this year thanks to all the heavy work that was done last year. The club meets on the first and third Thursday each month. Sundays are slated for trail maintenance, and we are always looking for volunteers, so please consider joining a work crew. We are happy to be back together, and look forward to being out on the trails, and espe cially hopeful that we get to ride this year. Please consider joining the club as it supports many community endeavors, and you get a chance to be out on the trails with some of the finest and hardest working people around. Please be sure to look at our Facebook page for events, club meetings, and work parties. Respectfully, Stephanie Bravoco Club Reporter The Wild River Riders meet monthly on the second Tuesday of each month (Septem ber-April) at the Gilead Town Office at 5 p.m. We provide updates on Facebook if there is a change. You may recall that last season the White Mountain National Forest wanted to shut down a bridge on our system that would have closed most of our network. We were granted a temporary permit and had certain obligations in order to use the bridge. The WMNF is seek ing estimates now to replace the bridge. We don’t have a timeline yet for when it will be replaced, but they have been working with us, and we hope not to have any disruptions this season. We will be heading out on the trails soon to begin mowing and cutting up blowdowns. We’ve had a few people volunteer already to help, and we greatly appreciate the assistance. We know we have two large bridge projects before the season, and we’ll be scheduling work days on our Facebook page later this fall after we’ve inspected all the trails. Memberships have been trickling in. This is an expensive time of year as we rebuild bridges and repair equipment so we appreciate the early season support. Carol Bourque Secretary/Treasurer Greetings all, I hope everyone had a great summer. With the cooler weather, leaves turning color and falling, and shorter days, we are reminded of what’s ahead and beginning to think snow and snowmobiling. Our first meeting in September was the usual turnout with 2 members plus 3 officers. Our October meeting last week had good attendance. Always hoping for more once the season gets into full swing. I will remind members now of our very popular December 17 th meeting with potluck at 6pm. Also, a reminder that our meetings are the 3rd Wednesday at 6pm every month at the Club House on School bus Drive. The guys have started meeting every Sun day morning at 8:00 to work on trails, bridges, or other projects. If 8:00 is too early for you, there will be notification at the Tucker garage on where you can find the crew for that day. One project was/is the moving of our busi ness signs. We greatly appreciate all business participation and wanted the sign next to the Tucker garage and to be more visible. Mem bers are rallying to gain new business mem berships and adding to the sign. We will also be working on the ability to join the club electronically - more to come as STREAKED MOUNTAINEERS sc Buckfield, ME WESTERN REGION WILD RIVER RIDERS Gilead, ME
that gets introduced. We are all excited with news that the Buckfield Mall has a new owner and will be opening later in the winter. It has been a little inconvenient not being able to ride snowmobile up to a gas pump and refuel.
WESTBROOK TRAILBLAZES Westbrook, ME Good day, fellow snowmobilers! Here in Westbrook, we’re hard at work getting the trails ready for the upcoming sea son. Bush hogging is in full swing, new trail signs have arrived to replace the faded ones, and fresh lumber is on-site as we repair and rebuild bridges — all in hopes of a snowy win ter ahead. We’re also in the process of purchasing a couple of Conex boxes to centralize our equip ment storage and keep everything closer to the trails. This should make maintenance and prep work a lot more efficient. On top of that, we’ve got some exciting news for the club this year: we’re in the early stages of working toward a new trail connec tion with the Gorham Snowgoers. If every thing comes together, this will extend our trail system farther west and open up new riding opportunities. And don’t forget — our annual Christmas Party is set for December 13, 2025, at Len ny’s, featuring live music by Stiles. Mark your calendars! Here’s to a great season ahead — see you on the trails! Tom England Westbrook TrailBlazes WISCASSET SNO-GOERS Wiscasset, ME Greetings to all from the Wiscasset Sno-Goers, By the time you read this in November, the tress will be bare, ground hopefully firmed up and if you haven’t started those right thumb exercises, you are behind the curve. Some updates from the Sno-Goers. The annual Holiday party is well into the planning stages and will be held on Dec 12th at 5:30 at the Club house. This party is always a great time with great food, a super fun Yankee swap and always a ton of laughs. The Sno-goers are also excited to get those trails in shape. Many of the bridges have under gone complete overhauls over the past few years so we are in a pretty good position. We are excited to get the new Trail Support SXS to work and also are working to get it outfitted with safety lighting and some Sno Goer swag. Each year the Sno-Goers select one of our great landowners for a land owner apprecia tion gift. By November, we will have down selected this special land owner so tune in next month for an update. The Sno-Goers are also busy getting holiday cards out to all of our business friends and land owners. Some additional business to attend to: The Sno-goers meet on the 2nd Thursday of each Month beginning in October and running through April. The meetings are held at the FD training facility next door to the club house with the meeting starting at 6:00 p.m. with a pot luck. Always fun to have guests and new members are always welcomed! Trail work continues on Sunday mornings, meeting at the club house at 8:00 a.m. (ish). The new WSTSV should be a fun and great asset to trail work this year! As always, a very appreciative “Thank you” to all of our landowners who allow access for our trail system. Jeff Robertson Wiscasset Sno-Goers Hello Everyone, The Sno-Crawlers had their first meeting October 16 and the club officers remain the same as last season with President David Neu big, Vice President Carl Gushee, Treasurer Ben Scott, Secretary Jimi Hunt, Safety Offi cer Richard Bravoco, Trail Master Tony Lash. We also have our membership coordinator Gabe Cooley and Jon Gatcomb, and Club Reporter Stephanie Bravoco. During this meeting we discussed old business, new busi ness and established which trails needed the most attention. The first open season job was repairing the Madamom bridge located on the powerlines. The team also mowed from Rt1 to Old Rt 1 railroad crossing, which was no small job when the grass was over your head, they mowed in several other areas of the trail WALDOBORO SNO-CRAWLERS Waldoboro, ME

norwaytrackerssnowmobileclub@gmail.com We are excited for the upcoming season and the great turnouts to our meetings. Member ships are rolling in and MSA tickets are sell ing. If you would like tickets, reach out to us quickly as the drawing is in early December. Our retiree trail crew has been hard at work this fall and even during the summer. One of our continuing goals is to smooth out trails so we can groom with less snow. They have moved a lot of rocks and done more bush hog ging. We have also installed a few culverts, a couple at road crossings to ease that transition. Again, this year, our members have deco rated a tree for the Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce Festival of Trees. We encourage you to check it out over Thanksgiving week end. We also are updating our trail map again this year to a larger size and some extra details. Happy Thanksgiving from the Norway Trackers. Dan Trouant, club reporter SNOW VALLEY SNOW GOERS Andover, ME www.snowvalleysno-goers.com snowvalleysno-goers@yahoo.com Over the summer, some of our members got together for dinner at 290, one of our supporting business members. Hello, from Andover Maine, as it gets cold, we are all wishing for a snow filled winter. A few of us have new sleds and some of us have old ones. Regardless of what you ride please stay on designated trails. Please be respectful of all landowners and their property, they are the ones that keep us riding. Talking about landowners, we had our annual landowner barbeque in September. Most of our landowners are from out of town, only a few make it each year. This event is to show how much we appreciate the use of their land. With not many landowners able to attend we are thinking of doing something different next year. Our last big bridge has now been repaired, a great big THANK YOU goes to those of you that donated your time and equipment to make this happen. The Devil Dens trail will not open again this year. Please stay off it. We are having a Hunter’s Breakfast on Saturday Nov 1st from 5 to 10am. Watch our web site and our Facebook page for upcom ing events, breakfasts, lunches, and suppers. The dates will be posted a couple of weeks in advance. We hope to see some of you there, stop by and say hello. Besides our T-Shirts, Long Sleeve Shirts, Sweatshirts, Ball Caps and Winter Beanies we will have Window Stickers with our logo on them this year. Any of these can be picked up at our club house when you come for lunch! We were picked to sell MSA Super Raffle tickets at the 2025 Power Sports Show this year, thank you to the crew for donating your time. I hear you enjoyed it so much you want to go back next year. Our regular club meetings are on the first Wednesday of each month starting in Septem ber through April. Please see our Web Site and or Facebook page for upcoming events. Club meetings are underway and officers have been voted in for the 2025-2026 season. We have been proactive this summer with the help of club volunteers! We rebuilt a dete riorating bridge on the Tiger Hill trail. We replaced the decking on another bridge located on the Douglas Hill trail. Trail work is now scheduled for every Sun day through November to assure all the trails in Sebago are safe and ready for the riding season. The club is collecting annual dues at this time. Venmo is available. Meetings are held the 1st Wednesday of each month at 6:30 at the old Town Hall. Stay safe on the trails Jim LaPointe
