Our regular season meetings at 795 Bog Road have started with the first being October 1st. At this meeting we accepted the resigna tion of our Vice President Nick Pomeroy. Nick was member of our club who had donated thousands of volunteer hours of his time clear ing land for our parking lot and truck pulling track in addition to maintaining and grooming trails over the years. Nick’s work life has him traveling the state with much success at the job sights he is a part of. We wish you contin ued prosperity Nick, and we sincerely thank you for your volunteer work with us. Please stop in and say “hello” if you get a chance. With Nick’s resignation we have unani mously elected our next Vice President! Con gratulations go to Andrew Jackson. Andrew is the kind of person every local snowmobile club needs! He is a young, jack-of-all-trades guy willing to do any task needed or to help in any way. Thank you Andrew for all that you do and we look forward to having you as our newest VP! In September we hosted a BBQ ribs and spaghetti dinner to honor and thank all of our volunteers. In addition to the great food, we played corn-hole and had a friendly potato salad competition! When the judging from everyone who voted on the five potato salad entries was tallied, Deanna Witham was declared the winner. Well done, Deanna!! Many events we participate in are upcom ing; including the Rotary Club of Bangor’s Festival of Lights Parade. We will have a brightly lit float full of energy and fun! Join us in celebrating our community holidays at this annual event on December 6th at 4:30p.m. Another one of our favorite events is co-hosting with Dysart’s, the Pine Tree Camp Egg Run every winter. The dates for this fund raising event are Thursday January 29- Sun day February 1st. This is a wonderful weekend full of love, laughs, great food, a benefit auc tion, and a hilarious “egg ride”! Get the latest information and details at pinetreesociety.org or follow Pine Tree Camp on Facebook. We will also enjoy our annual Christmas party at the clubhouse. Every member is invited to enjoy a fabulous dinner and a fun Yankee Swap. Follow sledhermon on Face book for the details in December. We meet the first and third Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. The third Wednesday meeting is always a potluck! At our October 15 th meeting we enjoyed Mac & Cheese, Chili, Meatballs, Pizza, and a birthday cake. Please feel free to stop in at one of our meetings to learn about our trails, our volunteers, or if you would just like to meet new people. PAR ENTS! if you have a highschooler looking to fill volunteer hours for school credits, stop in and see if our club is a good fit for your family. You never know...it may lead to recieving one of our three scholarships awarded annually. We would like to extend a big volunteer THANK YOU to Jim Chichetto!!! Jim is always willing to lend his time, his equipment and his expertise with trail work, our truck pulling event every July, or any other task. Thank you Jim. We appreciate you more than you know. Our biggest club fundraiser is underway! We are selling 400 raffle tickets for your chance to win a new Ski Doo 600 Sport EFI or a new Can Am Outlander 500. Tickets are $50.00 each and the winner will be drawn at Bangor Motor Sports on December 20 th . You can purchase a ticket electronically on our sledhermon facebook page or by emailing Sledhermon2@gmail.com. The Penobscot Snowmobile Clubhouse is available for rent for your gathering of 40-50 people. We have a full kitchen, two restrooms, and plenty of parking. The rental price is $150.00 and includes membership. Please call Chuck at 207-478-8280 for availability. This equip ment will a great help to our hard-working volunteer trail crews. Steve Emery reported that the Club’s Annual Holiday Party will have a new look this year. In a change from our traditional Holiday Pot-Luck with Gift Swap at the Com munity Center, we will have a catered dinner with DJ at a local venue (and no gift swap). Deadline for signing up and paying is Nov. 7. Thanks to Steve for organizing it. This will be fun! The Holiday Party will replace our December Meeting. Bill Preis reported that the 2026 Snowmo bile Trail Map is under way and will be final ized by the next meeting. 28 members have signed up for the Millinocket Club trip and 27 have signed up for Caribou. Trail work is proceeding and Work parties will meet at the Bridgton Walgreens on Sun day mornings at 8AM. Work is usually com pleted by noon. More hands make light work. There is much need for brushing overgrown trails and filling water holes. The next meeting of Pleasant Mountain Snowmobile Club is scheduled for Friday, November 14 th , 2025 at the Bridgton Com munity Center. The Fabulous Pot Luck Sup per begins at 6PM followed by the business meeting at 6:45. Come to our meeting - renew your member ship if you have not already done that - and learn about our upcoming Club events, Club Rally, and Club Trips. All are welcome! Hope to see you there, Bill Preis Club Correspondent The Rangeley Lake Snowmobile Club has been busy this fall! We recently hosted our second annual golf tournament, which drew 96 players, numerous generous sponsors, and made for a fun-filled day of friendly competi tion and community spirit. Work continues on the groomer barn expan sion, with the project now nearing completion. We’re optimistic it will be ready and open for events this winter, providing a great new space for club gatherings and community use. Our dedicated team has also been hard at work preparing trails and groomers for the snowy season ahead — we’re ready for what ever Mother Nature brings our way! Our membership portal successfully renewed on September 30, with another smooth round of automatic renewals, keeping our club strong and growing. We’re excited to announce a few upcoming events! The club held its first-ever Meat Raf fle on November 13 at Sarge’s Pub and Grub. Then, mark your calendars for our Annual Christmas Party on December 6. This year, we’re thrilled to partner with the Rotary Club, who will be adding their Parade of Trees to our celebration. The event will also feature “Taste of the Town,” with delicious dishes donated by supporting local businesses. Planning is also underway for this season’s Snodeo events, and things are coming together nicely for another great winter celebration in Rangeley. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our landowners, members, business spon sors, and neighbors for their continued support and partnership. We truly appreciate all you do and look forward to a fantastic winter season ahead! Hello everyone, Temps are getting colder and it’s feeling like winter already! The leaves have turned and fallen and it feels like snow is in our future. Let’s hope this winter is a good one! Thank you to all who came out to show your support at our annual Prime Rib Dinner fund raiser. Big thanks to Bill Dodd for donating the beef, Green Thumb Farms for the potatoes and to the Pythagorean Lodge for hosting us. And thank you to the volunteers who pulled it all together from cooking, setting up and cleaning up. We can always count on you and you are all so very much appreciated! The guys were able to do a small re-route over by the fairgrounds due to a new house going in. Stakes and signs are being put out and we seem to be in great shape getting the trails ready for riding. Thank you again to all of our landowners for sharing the use of their property so we can enjoy this outdoor activity every winter. Our poker rally is scheduled for February 21, 2026 at the North Fryeburg Community Chapel so we hope to see you all there! Start you snow dancing! On October 10 th , members of the Pleasant Mountain Snowmobile Club (formerly Bridg ton Easy Riders) gathered for our monthly meeting and to enjoy the Fabulous Pot Luck Supper, and what a delicious meal it was! President Blaine Chapman called the meet ing to order at 6:45 with a Pledge of Alle giance. After the reading of the Treasurers Report and the Secretary’s Report, Blaine reported that Kathy Hendrix and her com mittee sent out membership applications and Raffle Tickets. Thanks to Kathy and her crew! Blaine thanked Darcy, Bridgton Commu nity Center Director, for allowing the Club to meet there monthly. Trails are being bushed and bridges are being repaired as we get ready for the upcom ing snowmobile season. New trail signs for 55 road crossings and intersections, to replace older, worn, signs, are being ordered by Andy Merrill, the Club’s new Trailmaster. and painted on one side of the building. A new heat pump was installed along with a new chimney liner and a donated wood stove. There is still have more work to be done on our building and we welcome volunteers to help with that. Soon we will be working on updating our trail signs and work on the trails is ongoing. Our “new to us” groomer has been checked out by a mechanic and the report is that it’s in the shape we hoped it would be. The Town of Burlington is renting us the old firehouse to store the groomer and groomer sled. We will be having a potluck supper and club meeting on Monday, November 24, 2025 starting at 5:00pm. Then on Saturday, Novem ber 29, 2025, we will be having a Hunter’s Breakfast from 5:00 am to 11:00 am. All are welcome. Both events will be held our club house on Richardson Road in Burlington. If you want more info about our club, check us out on Facebook. Snowmobile season is on its way. We are looking forward to more snow, much earlier this winter. Membership packets have been mailed out. Don’t put them away for later, return them now while it’s fresh in your mind. Don’t forget to register your snowmobiles. The Directors and Members meet on the first Wednesday of the month, October through March. Please join us for the Board Meeting at 5 pm followed by our potluck supper at 6 pm. On November 16th we will have our Pan cake/French Toast public breakfast beginning at 7:30 am until 10 am. Our cooks, Glenn Tay lor and Dana Carson, do a wonderful job on these breakfasts. Our regular Sunday breakfasts begin Jan uary 4 through March 8, 2026. Special Pan cake/French Toast breakfasts will be served on January 25 th , February 22nd, and March 8th. Please join us. The food and coffee are great, and the company is even better. Think SNOW! Our summer and fall have both been very productive! Through a USDA grant, we have accepted delivery of a 2025 Kabota M6060 Series tractor that replaces some of our aging equipment. We have already made major improvements to our trail system by mow ing and bushhogging.
