Planks have been ordered for the three 50-foot bridges that need to be replanked. Bush hog ging is on the list to get rid of those bushes and blackberry bushes that want to be face slappers. Excavator work removing rocks and culverts that pop out of the ground has started and a lot more to do. The beavers always like to use our bridges and culverts to make a lake out of our trails! There are trees that need to be trimmed or removed that want to fall into our trails. Hopefully we don’t have to clear 4 times like last year’s so-called Winter. Keep your fingers crossed. This year during the summer, we tried something different to raise funds for the club. Jim and Rick came up with a BINGO fund raiser. It ran for 12 weeks from July through the end of September. It was greatly received and everybody enjoyed themselves. We will be running it next year for a longer period of time. Exact dates have not been set yet. Trail work has been on going. There is still a lot of work to do before the trails can open for the season. If you haven’t already done so, please join a club. Our applications for membership are on our website. Please consider becoming an active member. The club needs your help.

Pictured above is part of the Pine Tree Store’s cook crew. On left is Maeryn, who parent’s own Chet’s Camp’s. She is a student, Maine Guide and a real good cook. Next is Matt. He is also a student, soccer player, and collect’s rock crystal. Last is Lydia, who is one of the prettiest young Barrel Horse Racers in the state. She has been learning the cooking trade all summer and is now ready for you hungry snowmobilers. Still not much snowmobile news around town. People are buying and selling sleds. I’m debating whether or not to sell mine. It’s nice, but old. Kind of like me. The weather is changing. Fall has come and is about to leave. Winter is coming. All kinds of snow depth and storm numbers will be pre dicted. Can’t be as bad as last year. The Pine Tree Store has been stocked with various orange hunting clothes. That depart ment is starting to switch over to warm winter gear. Great stop for clothe’s gift’s or if on the trail and your cold and in need of that extra warmth. Most call it, “Snowmobile Season”. Jason Kelce call’s it, “Football Season”. I call it, “Chili Season”. I can’t wait for Brinda to make her 1ST Place Award winning chili. I bet a lot of you can’t wait either. Think chili, I mean snow. WORK: I heard that a few of those tree leaners from the December 18, rain/wind storm have come down on a trail or two. That means Les will have a work/bring your lunch detail for a crew, if you are looking for some thing to do. GROOMER TRAINING: Start thinking about this. Les will train members on our well equipped, professional groomer, the Snow Rabbit. That way once trailed, a 2-person groomer team with food and supplies could be sent out to do important trail work for as long as they want. If you are interested, you know who to talk too. Thank you everyone for taking the time to read about our snowmobile club and our special little town. Please ride our trails and make our town your town and stop on your snowmobile adventure. I guarantee you will be back. mikeremillard@mgemaine.com Please take the time to cut out the below lines of information and pack it away with your registration and insurance info. You never know. We have had our first meeting of the season with 19 people in attendance. Looking like we are off to a good start to the season. Trail work has started. Andrew Jackson has been out bush hogging for us. He says that the conditions are ideal because things are dry right now. He has been able to get some stuff done that they have not been able to get to for years. Yeah Andrew. Thank you for all that you do. Oh and thanks for the mowing that you have done all summer. We noticed. We might not mention it to you but we notice. THANK YOU. Cliffy Overlock our seasoned excavator operator has made plans with our trail master Byron Ogden to replace a culvert that got washed out last season that we were not able to get to. We cannot thank the trail
