We had our first meeting of the season in September with great turnout. Everyone is anxious to get the season started. Member ships are rolling in and tickets are selling. One of our priorities this year is to make a new trail map and officially GPS them. We are also continuing to install new signs. We are planning to install new runners on one of our drags. We are selling Super Raffle tickets. Con tact us for your chance to win one of several prizes. This is a great way to support your local club and the MSA. Our members enjoyed a couple social din ner get-togethers over the summer to support our local business members and keep in touch. We get together most Sunday mornings at 8:00 AM to do trail work. Everyone is wel come to join us. Follow us on Facebook for location and updates. There’s a chill in the air Dan Trouant, club reporter Greetings all, We attempted our first snowmobile club meeting on Wednesday September 18th. It was a big flop! We did unlock the clubhouse and go inside, all 4 of us. I’m not sure if it was the warm weather or the fear of being elected for officer that kept members away. The weather has turned cooler this week and feels more like fall. Hopefully, people will feel more like snowmobile season is approaching for the October meeting. Roland has been out gathering memberships, advertising sign money, and sales of the Super raffle tickets. We are looking forward to a great season. I’d like to start this letter by thanking all the volunteers who manned the fair booth for us again this year. Your help is greatly appreci ated. Thank you, Ed, for getting the booth in and out of the barn and Larry B for cleaning it up and getting it ready for us to do our thing as well as picking up the grand prizes and get ting them all set up for display. You guys are awesome! We still have some tickets for sale in case you didn’t get over to the fair to see us. Feel free to give me a call and I’ll make sure to get them to you. (603) 986-7293 Thank you to the guys who always show up to help with trail work and much needed proj ects. Let’s hope we get enough hands to help make sure the trails are ready when snow flies. We’re currently putting together another Prime Rib Dinner fundraiser at the Fryeburg Masonic Lodge. Last year’s was such a huge success we thought we’d do it again. The ten tative date is November 2, 2024. More info will be posted on our Facebook page as things come together. We hope to see you there! Memberships are steadily coming in so if you haven’t mailed yours yet please do so and if you know anyone who’d like to join give me shout via phone or email (m021801@ yahoo.com) and I’ll get them what they need. If you’re already a member of another club in Maine you can also join our club as an associ ate member for only $15. Monthly meetings are held at the Main Street Fire Station on the 2 nd Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. We’d love to see some new faces so please consider attending one to see if you have any good ideas to share. BENEDICTA SNOW GANG Benedicta, ME
Hey Gang, Here we are already in October and the Snowgang is in high gear!! We already have close to 60 members and applications are coming in every day it seems. I think everyone is expecting a lot better season than last year. I will list this year’s slate of officers, which is as follows::: Randy Bates ~~ President Kim Joyce ~~ Vice President (Secretary position is open at this time.) Joyce Remeschatis ~~ Treasurer. Your Trailmaster is Patrick Joyce. Trail work, of course, will start in earnest is soon as the leaves get off the trees. I am sure the crew is getting trail signs and markers ready as I write. The only other things going on for outdoor activities are the potato harvest and the moose hunt, which are both going well. I do want to mention again that our annual Caribbean Cruise raffle tickets are still avail able ~~ don’t wait too long they are flying again this year. A ticket is only $50.00 and there are only 100 being sold, if you don’t care about sailing you may take $2500.00 in cash. This is the 33rd year for this event and it has sold out every year! If you would like a ticket, call me at 365-7276 and I can help. Well, I guess that will do it for now, the mountain lion and I are going moose hunt ing out in the back field ~~ I think they like pumpkins! Jim Splan, Reporter @ Large P.S.~~ Get the long johns on Charlie! P.S.~~ Redsox Rule! P.SS. ~~ The election is ALMOST over! P.SSS.~~ Winter in 81 days! ROCKABEMA SNOW RANGERS Patten, ME Happy Fall Everyone, It’s the 19 th of September and the leaves are beginning to change from bright green to vibrant hues of red, yellow, and orange. With the changing of color comes the anticipation of a white winter in Northern Maine. The landowner’s dinner was a success with several landowners in attendance. It is important that we extend our appreciation to our landowner partners as without them our trail connections would be limited. The trails are looking great this year with the collaborative effort of the recreational com munity. Bridges have and are being repaired to ensure safe rides for all our snowmobile visitors. I will extend a more detailed report on bridge and trail repair work as it comes available. Our membership is up this year and we are in hopes to engage even more of our commu nity of snowmobiles to become members. A special thanks to Gladys Hanson who is our go to for season raffle tickets. Thanks, Gladys, for all you do!!! Our next meeting is October 12 at 5:30 PM at the Rockabema Club house. It is potluck so bring your favorite dish and come prepared for a lot of laughter and chatter. Well, that’s about it for now. I will report again next month. Happy trails everyone. Carilynn Hanson MOLUNKUS VALLEY SNO-DRIFTERS Sherman, ME Greetings from Molunkus Valley Sno-Drifters! Wow where did the summer go? too fast for sure.
