Intro to Basic Archery This class will cover the basics of modern archery. Students will be taught the history of archery, the types of bows, parts of bows and equipment, and range safety. Students may use their own bows upon inspection. Students will get to work with Long/Recurve/Compound/Crossbows. All instruction is from certified USA Archery Instructors and based on the JOAD system of range safety. Min: 3/Max: 10 Dates: Wednesdays, 6/12/19 - 6/26/19 Time: 6:00 pm—8:00 pm Fee: $50 per person Location: Buxton/Hollis Rod & Gun Club, 81 Plains Road, Hollis, ME Paddleboard Lesson & Excursion Join Sebago Trails Paddling Company for an adult education paddle boarding experience. This will be a two part lesson and excursion. The first class will consist of safety and learning to paddle board, while the second class will be putting the skills you learned previously to use with an excursion on Sebago Lake. Date: Thursday, 7/11/19 and 7/18/19 (session 1) Thursday, 8/1/19 and 8/8/19 (session 2) Time: 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm Ages: 18+ Fee: $39 per session Location: Rich Memorial Beach Half Day Kayak Tour Join us with Maine Island Kayak Co. on a half-day sea kayak tour around Peaks Island. Peaks Island and the nearby archipelago of islands provide protected waterways, short but lively crossings, and the challenge of rocks and surf. We will take you out to the lighthouses, open ocean, and dramatic cliffs nearby. This tour will be approximately 3 hours on the water and is suited for athletic beginners. Our single sea kayaks are 16-17 feet in length, with watertight bulkheads. We individually fit each guest to their kayak and meet you on the island with paddles in hand! Ferry price is included.
