Walking Bird Tour Join us along with Nick Lund from Maine Audubon on an educational bird walk around Otter Pond and the Mountain Division Trail. Discover local bird life in Standish and don’t forget your binoculars! Min: 8 Date: Sunday, 5/5/19 Time: 8:00 am – 10:00 am Ages: 18+ Fee: $14 Location: Mountain Division Trail, Johnson Field, 89 Chadbourne Road, Standish, ME Beginning Fly-Casting Course This two-hour course will teach you the basics of fly casting in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. We will guide you, step-by-step, through the four- part cast, false cast and roll cast. We’ll explain how to strip and shoot line, as well as how to tie basic fishing knots. You’ll receive plenty of one-on-one instruction and have ample time to practice each skill with an instructor and on your own. You’ll finish this course with an excellent foundation of fly-casting knowledge. If you have your own fishing rod, please bring it with you. Other supplies will be provided.
