Transfer Station

Current events within the solid waste industry have highlighted a need for updating process efficiencies and procedures at the transfer station and landfill. Sporadic leadership at the facility has hindered positive growth and movement at the facility. The staff that has continued in the face of changing leadership has done an absolutely phenomenal job at maintaining this transfer station and landfill. The upcoming year would be well spent finding a visionary leader who can transform this facility in conformance with evolving industry

trends into a more efficient, safe operation which better serves the Town. Exploration and institution of possible revenue sources as well as increasing waste diversion avenues would create financial efficiencies needed for improved operation of this facility.
