Until next time, Deb Long (Club President) Wow, December has quickly come and gone. Enthusiastic snowmobilers are showing up in the Gash! Groomer operators keep biting at the bit to get out and lay the white carpet. Our club is super pumped and excited about this season. We’ve been working diligently on plans and hopes for a much-needed groomer garage in 2026! We recently drew the name of our club mas cot and Spruce the Moose it is. We were extremely fortunate to get some early snow with a bit of freezing rain which helped us to establish a great base for our trail system. Our signs were put up early, blow downed trees and limbs taken care of and the groomer was out panning the trails just before the New Year. We are also fortunate this season (that as of right now) our trail system should not be affected by any logging operations. We did do a short reroute on the ITS 92 Allagash to Escourt due to scheduled spring logging on the Fall Brook Road. Mother Nature has not dumped us a ton of snow but every inch, is much better then freezing rain. Our trailside business banner is close to being completed. Look for it on the trail at the end of AK 31 where ITS 92 meets up with the 120 Connector. We are extremely appreciative to all our mem bers and businesses who support us. We will be having our winter fundraiser on Sat. Feb 14 th . What better way to spend Valen tine’s Day with Moosetown Riders. This event will take place at the Allagash Community MOLUNKUS VALLEY SNO-DRIFTERS Sherman, ME MOOSETOWN RIDERS Allagash, ME
Center. We will be serving Chicken Stew, rolls, bottled water, and sweets. Serving will begin at 11:00 am until sold out. We will also have a guided group scenic ride prior to lunch for anyone who wanting to join, meet at Two Riv ers Lunch at 8am on Sat. 2/14/26. Follow us on Facebook for more updated info. Please join a club or two, your generosity goes a long way. Good snowy afternoon to everyone! January 15th today and it’s a snowy one. The groomers have been at it since December 15th. We got some snow, lost it, got some more, lost a little of that, got more than we lost. We could use a more but we are in good health with our trails. We have been busy at the lodge, last week being our first week of hot meals being served at the lodge. We started out with a crowd favorite, Kristen’s chicken stew, awesome rolls, and lots of sweets. This week will be lasagna, and we intend on having a hot meal every weekend until snow melts, (not for a long time, we hope). February 21 st will be our 3rd annual pig roast, put this on your calendar! Always a great event you don’t want to miss! In between we have many great cooks who will keep you warm and fed. The river has frozen up quite wonderful this year and a few brave souls have ridden from Fort Kent to Allagash creating a snowmobile trail replicating travel as it has been for centu ries, on the river. Nature grooms this one! She provides the snow and the trails. Wide open riding from bank to bank! Come North! We offer an unparalleled scenic vista unlike any other area! Travel the trails that are being raved about, dine at our restaurants, enjoy our area! We enjoy having you here! Kim Ouellette Secretary St. Francis Sno Angels CENTRAL REGION ST. FRANCIS SNO ANGELS St. Francis, ME We resumed grooming after Christmas only to lose most of it for the second time this sea son but came away with a thin hard base to build on. We are 6 hours into the Jan 25 snow storm with about 3 inches on the ground. We will see what the next 24 hours brings! We are healthy equipment-wise with all four groomers available to handle a good dumping of the white stuff. With four new operators and three experienced operators we have a great bench. The lakes are frozen with a cold spell in the works so riding should start to shape up. Get out and enjoy the central Maine lakes and trails. Stay up to date by following our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/RomeRuf fRiders/ and use our online application to join the club. The regional C4 map will be available from participating clubs and at the Rome Town Hall. The map is centered on the Readfield-Bel grade-Manchester area and covers 25 different clubs. Our meetings are the second Tuesday of the month September to April, 7:00 PM at the Rome Town Hall. All are welcome. Hello Snowmobilers, As I am writing this, we are getting a whop per of a snowstorm. It is my hope, as you read this, that the snow has stayed and we have been able to do some riding. So far, the rid ing has been minimal, but with 12-18 inches expected followed by continued frigid weather this should stick around. As you go out and hit the trails, please make sure you have checked that your sled is in good working order, you have necessary supplies, and you ride safely. Hopefully, we will be able to organize some local club rides, which haven’t happened in the past few years. As far as club business goes, it is close to election time. This year, in January and Feb ruary we open the floor to nominations of all positions except Vice President, and Treasurer, COCHNEWAGAN TRAILBLAZERS Monmouth, ME ROME RUFF RIDERS Rome, ME
as they are two-year positions along with Pres ident and Secretary but are staggered to avoid a possible total turnover in officers. Then we have elections in March. Also, our trailmaster and assistant trailmaster have asked the club to approve the purchase of a sled for dragging to replace the Bearcat we are retiring. The club voted to approve an amount to be used to purchase and since our January meeting a sled has been found and the majority of the exec utive board met to look at it and try it out and approved the purchase. Always something happening within our club! Happy Sledding, Roberta Kemp President We are happy to report we have a new Tucker groomer (used but new to us). With this new groomer, we should be able to pro vide smooth trails in Madison for everyone to enjoy. We also purchased a new drag with brush cutting bar. Connector trail 48 which connects ITS 87 to the rail trail in Madison by the mill is in good condition. Abnaki Sno-Riders Madison, ME
at work keeping our trails groomed. Depending on trail conditions in March our trails will be open as will the club house on the weekends for fuel (for sleds and bodies). We will be hosting a game night on March 7 th . Bring a snack and let the games begin! Our regular club meeting will be held on March 11 at 6pm. We will also be having a meeting on March 28 th at 5 pm followed by a pot luck supper. There will be a Maple Sunday Breakfast at Carrabec School on March 22 nd @ 8 am. Weather and conditions permitting, there will also be a club ride with the date and time to be determined. For these and any other upcoming events, please check out our Facebook page. Happy (and snowy) Trails! Katie Grant COASTAL REGION Greeting from the Wiscasset Sno-Goers, Writing this article this morning while watch ing the news and seeing a solid path of 12-18” of that white gold!
