Maine Snowmobile Show Kicks Off Winter Season with Power Sports Expansion at Augusta Civic Center
Raffle Success SupportsTrail Safety The centerpiece of the vintage raffle was a fully restored 2000 Arctic Cat ZL 500.This machine was generously donated in honor of the late Harvey Williams, a dedicated trail advocate and fixture in the local snowmobile clubs whose passion helped define the sport in the region. All proceeds generated from the raffle went directly to the Maine Snowmobile Association Safety Fund.This vital fund provides resources for safety education ensuring riders can safely enjoy Maine’s thousands of miles of interconnected trails. After three days of ticket sales and anticipation, the drawing for the vintage Arctic Cat was held Sunday afternoon.The lucky winner for the Arctic Cat was Doug Kauer.

Despite the influx of new technology, the show maintained its deep roots in snowmobile heri tage.The Vintage Snowmobile Show section was a massive success, featuring dozens of immacu lately restored sleds spanning decades of inno vation. Enthusiasts shared stories and celebrated the machines that built the sport in Maine. This community spirit culminated around the highly anticipated charity raffle, which honored a beloved figure in the Maine snowmobiling community.
