with great conditions for riding! We’re ready for it! This past winter, Pleasant Mountain SC enjoyed two fantastic Club trips up north, to Millinocket and to Jackman. These trips are fun for everyone because we divide up into smaller groups, each with a leader, so our Club trips are suitable for riders of different abilities and experience. This past season we also held a very successful Poker Rally, with 133 snow mobilers participating. We are now planning for two Club trips in 2026, to Millinocket and Caribou. Plans also include preparing for trail work, maintenance of equipment, and a new trail map. Thanks to our enthusiastic volunteers who make all this possible. The next meeting of Pleasant Mountain Snowmobile Club, (formerly Bridgton Easy Riders) will be Friday, September 12 th at the Bridgton Community Center, 15 Depot St. Bridgton. Our Fabulous Pot Luck Supper at 6 PM is followed by the business meeting at 6:45 PM. Come learn about our Club, and our upcoming events: the December Holiday Party, Club Rally, and Club Trips. It’s hard to believe that in the dog days of August that the snowmobile season is just around the corner. But the shadows are get ting longer, the nights cooler, and we’ve had our 1st MSA monthly meeting! Since the East Branch Sno-Rovers are also an ATV Club, we’ve been busy all summer with trail work. This will benefit the snowmobilers as many of these are shared trails. We’ve rebuilt some bridges, cleaned out culverts, and the tractor is busy out brushing trails. The biggest snowmobile news is the deliv ery of our new drag. The grooming crew was been very happy with the results of our Trail Paver so we’ve added a second one for the other machine. Thanks go out to a gen erous club member as well as the State of Maine Bureau of Public Lands for providing the funds that allowed us to add this piece of equipment. While there’s obviously no riding this time of year, we still have plenty of action going on. Come on out to our Tuesday night Music Jams. These are held every week, food is served starting at 4:30, and the music is 6-9 PM. You can find the menu each week on the Club’s Facebook Page. Better yet – there’s no admission charge! Charlie Huntington Welcome to our 55 th season! A hot dry summer so far! Shorter cooler days are com ing soon. That means we start ramping up for snowmobile season! We just had our annual lobster feed at the club. Our team of volun teers cooked 250 lobsters for the twin lobster dinner and we were sold out well before go time!!! Huge thanks to all that helped in the planning, the cooking of the lobsters and the corn, and all of the kitchen, counter and sales help and of course the cleanup crew! bridge was taken in the December 2023 storm. Also, another bridge project in Madrid Twp on Cross Stream is taking shape. The snowmo bile club is working with the Narrow Gauge Riders ATV Club. Permissions and plans are set in motion. This one may take some time but it will allow access from Madrid Twp to Andover for both ATV and Snowmobiles alike. One other bridge project is on Rt 145. This again is in the planning stage as the trail and bridge will be moved to a safer crossing pro viding the State approves. For fun stuff the club had a cookout. I’d like to start this letter by saying a huge thank you to the Pythegorean Lodge #11 in Fryeburg for their very generous dona tion. What an incredible way to start another season! As with many clubs we’re seeing some of our older members/volunteers aging out so we’re in dire need for some younger folks to step up and get involved. Without new people to take over, the club may be in trouble going forward. I don’t think many people realize just how much work it takes to keep things run ning from the fall into the springtime. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated, even if you’re only available a weekend or two here and there. As always, we’re looking for volunteers to work in our fair booth selling the MSA Super Raffle tickets. Please call me at (603) 986-7293 or shoot me an email at m021801@ yahoo.com if you’d like to work a shift or two. Shifts are from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, and 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM daily and 2 people are needed for each shift. We have an extra day at the fair this year so any and all help would be great! Membership cards/letters have mailed out so please check the info on your card, keep the stub on the end and mail in your renewal with your check payable to Fryeburg Area Snow mobile Assoc. You can also pay via Venmo and just mail the card back by itself as our address is stamped on the back of each one. If you know of anyone who’d like to join, please have them reach out and I’ll send them a card to do the same. The QR code to our Venmo is at the top of our Facebook page. Sincerely, NORTH FRANKLIN sc North Franklin, ME Greetings from North Franklin Snowmobile Club, Hope you all have enjoyed the summer. The NFSC has been busy throughout the season. As we prepare for this winter, we’re also looking for some new help. Many of our current volunteers have been pitching in for years, and a few fresh hands would make a big difference in keeping trails clear, events run ning smoothly, and the club moving forward. If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, this is the perfect season to step in—we’d love to have you join the Hollis Honkers team! Be sure to check our Facebook page for upcom ing meeting dates and volunteer opportunities. Dan Yarumian, Secretary By the time you read this, Sacopee Valley Snow Drifters (SVSD) of Porter, Hiram & part of Parsonsfield, Maine would have had their first monthly meeting and plans for work groups for the 2025/2026 snowmobile season are on their way. First and foremost, financial management, potential grant applications, property-owners permissions required, mem berships & dues, volunteers for work-groups, plans for maintaining and grooming the trails, condition of the grooming equipment and safety training, just to mention a few. There is always more work to do then volunteers. So, join-a-club and lend-a-hand, support your sport of snowmobiling. Greetings fellow Snowmobilers, While the weather’s still warm, we’re already thinking ahead to snowy trails and sleds here in Westbrook. As we gear up for our 17th season as a snowmobile club, we wanted to share what’s in the works. We’ve got a busy preseason ahead! This year we’re tackling a couple of major bridge renovations, doing regular trail maintenance, and getting our equipment tuned up and ready to roll. You might also spot us out there bush hogging and updating signs along the trail system to keep everything safe and easy to follow. We’re excited to announce that we’ll be mapping our entire trail system with GPS this year! Once it’s done, our trails will be added to the brand new MSA app — making it easier for riders to explore and stay on track. We’re also happy to share that the MSA Super Raffle tickets will be available online this season. That means it’s easier than ever to grab a ticket and support the club — and maybe even win big! Want to keep up with trail conditions, club updates, and events? Follow us on Facebook at Westbrook Trail Blazes — it’s the best way to stay in the loop as we get closer to the season.
