Dear Friends and Residents of Hollis, Dear Friends and Residents of Hollis,
I hope that you and your family are safe and healthy. I deeply appreciate the opportunity to continue serving as your State Senator. It remains the highest honor of my life to represent you in the Maine State Legislature, and I remain committed to working hard for you every single day. I am back in the State House nearly five days a week, where I serve as Chair of the Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services. I’m honored to help shape policy that improves the health and well-being of Maine people. I have also been appointed to continue to serve on the Joint Standing Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry. It has been a privilege to serve Maine and its farmers. We ’ ve already worked diligently to pass strong bipartisan legislation that supports our hardworking farmers. I am proud to sponsor LD 130 this session, which formalizes the PFAS Response Program to assist farmers impacted by the PFAS crisis. Maine farms are crucial to our way of life, and it is important that lawmakers look out for them. With the continuing services budget, we have made significant investments in education, which helps alleviate the pressure on municipalities to raise property taxes. We kept our promise to fully fund the state’s share of K -12 public education at 55 percent. We also maintained 5% revenue sharing to provide relief to municipal property taxes. Please contact me if I can be of any assistance with state government or if you have questions about the legislative process. I share information via Facebook (www.facebook.com/IngwersenForMaine), and I send out periodic email newsletters. Please let me know if you would like to be added to my mailing list. You can email me at Henry.Ingwersen@legislature.maine.gov or call the Senate office at (207) 287-1515. I remain at your service, and I am honored to be your advocate in Augusta. I look forward, as always, to hearing from you. I hope that you and your family are safe and healthy. I deeply appreciate the opportunity to continue serving as your State Senator.
