J ACKMAN, ME - Deep snow and frosty air couldn’t deter the Back woods Veterans Foundation last month as they successfully com pleted their annual snowmobile ride through the rugged Maine wil derness.The event, held in February 2025, brought together veterans from across the region for a weekend of camaraderie, adventure, and healing. The Border Riders of Jackman, hosted Veterans to a special luncheon and recognition for their service. The multi-day ride, expertly planned by the foundation, took partic ipants through hundreds of miles of groomed and ungroomed trails, showcasing the stunning beauty of Maine’s winter landscape. Rid ers navigated through forests blanketed in snow, across frozen lakes glistening in the sunlight, and over rolling hills offering breathtaking views. The event wasn’t just about the thrill of the ride, however. It served as a crucial opportunity for veterans to connect with one another in a
