Don’t forget that next year all boat operators born on or after January 1, 1999 will need to take a class to become certified to drive a boat greater than 25 horse power in Maine. You will need to have it on you to present to authorities upon request. There are many options for taking this course. The Little Sebago Lake Association will cover the cost of this exam for any supporting member. For more information go to: https://www.maine.gov/ifw/programs resources/educationalprograms/safty courses/boating-safety.html In conclusion I again want to thank all of you for a great summer and for caring for this lake as much as this board does. It is true that Mother

Nature gave us a hard time this year. Such high water this spring caused so much damage and erosion and that was before the boats were even in the water. Most years we are blaming large boats and driving to close to shore for causing it. We had to deal with both this year. We may be seeing more retaining walls being installed. But with all of us diligently doing our part to protect this precious body of water, we will be able to enjoy it for generations to come. And of course, always remember SAFETY IS NO ACCIDENT.
