The spring sports season is a HUGE undertaking and it wouldn’t be possible without the combined work of Scott Segal and Vanessa Harlow from Poland Recreation and the volunteerism of Jessica Cummings, Andy Coleman, and Jay Bryant from Mechanic Falls Recreation. Additionally, “Thank you to the Mechanic Falls Public Works Department ” for all of their hard work, effort, and energy to help maintain our fields with a dedicated group of volunteers. Scott Penny, Andy Coleman, and the whole Public Works Team continue to put time in on their off days to help with things like mowing and clean-up. It goes without saying that the success of the programs depends on the volunteer coaches, assistants, and recreation committee members who work tirelessly to keep the players motivated, engaged, and involved while they participate. Additionally, a tremendous thank you is due to the parents, guardians and fans of our players as well. No doubt our event attendees from Mechanic Falls are some of the best in the region and are diligent to exercise great attitudes, sportsmanship, and empathy to our officials, referees, and other volunteers that are the cornerstone of our community. Without everyone pulling in the same direction, we would not be nearly as successful. THANK YOU!
