They are selling very well, $2 each, 6 for $ 10, 12 for & $20, etc.. We will be selling up until the drawing on DECEMBER , 13th-get yours TODAY. Just a special shout out to the crew at TOCCI’ S CHECK-OUT CONVENIENCE/ GLENBURN, they are also supporting our club by selling at the counter MSA SUPER RAFFLE TICKETS ( thanks JASON). We again hosted the 10-club meeting on OCTOBER 13th -7 clubs attended, along with MIKE from the trails committee. Some issues with trails were discussed, some were resolved, and others are still a work in prog ress (keep at it TEAM). As we progress into NOVEMBER, we will continue getting the trails ready for the snow, putting up trail marker signs, stop ahead and stop signs, and signs that say; PLEASE STAY ON MARKED TRAILS. These are very important trail signs to heed, as they are intended to keep snowmobiles on the landowner approved trails. PLEASE obey the signs. As has been mentioned numerous times, these trails are on private landowners’ property, all we have to respect their wishes. THANK-YOU. On the membership front, Marion has been getting some responses for FAMILY & BUSI NESS applications. We still have more work to do to grow both of those numbers. Coming to a close (finally) for this article; FARMER’S ALMANAC is predicting this winter the three “ S” -SHIVER , SNOW & SHOVEL. I would like to add 1 more” S “ -SNOWMOBILE. I like it. Chilly evenings and cold mornings are here, that means SNOW will be here soon! We have been working to get all our equipment in shape for the upcoming season. We have also been out cleaning up and prepping our trail system as time and weather have allowed. There is always work to be done and our club is SO thankful for our awesome volun teers always stepping up to make things hap pen! We have a great team and we are able to accomplish a lot to keep the trails alive here in the Bangor area, which is no small feat! We are hoping to try and put together some club activities and rides again, as it has been many years since we have done any, so keep an eye on our Facebook page and keep your fingers crossed for a good snow season to allow for this! We are also planning to spend some eve nings at local businesses with SUPER RAF FLE tickets for sale! We have done this a couple times in previous years and have had great opportunities to get the word out about our club as well as the MSA, and meet new people! We will post up times and locations as we set those up! We always try to get out to do trail work, as needed, whenever weather and volunteer availability permits. Fall is here and soon we hope to have some snow. Memberships went out last month so don’t forget to send in your renewal for the season along with raffle tickets as both help keep our trails snowmobiling ready. We are excited to let you know we pur chased a new to us Pisten Bully 100 groomer made possible with help of a State of Maine grant. Thanks to Jon and Jim Rudnicki for search and delivery of the groomer. Due to the pandemic many of our fund-rais ing events were canceled so this year we are looking forward to resuming our usual events. On November 20th we will hold our annual PAUL BUNYAN sc Bangor, ME PINE TREE sc Milford , ME Hello Family and Friends of PTSC,

public Kick Off pancake/French toast break fast from 730-11am. It is also trail mainte nance day. If you want to help meet at the club at 730am. On December 7 th we will have our potluck/Christmas party at 6pm. Yankee swap if you wish to participate in the fun!! On January 4th we will have our annual public spaghetti supper from 430-630pm. Come visit with friends and families. We have great cooks. We hope to see you at our pot luck suppers and fund-raising events. Maybe by the next newsletter we will have some snow. Jan Murphy Membership Chair /Director EAST BRANCH SNO-ROVERS AND ATV CLUB Medway and East Millinocket, ME Volunteers have worked continuously on improving the trails. Thank you for all the long hours and hard work you do. The club had a very successful 2nd annual Veterans ATV ride with 58 participants and 27 machines and a delicious meal following the ride. The weather was perfect. The ride and the food were excellent and everything was free, donations accepted. All donations will benefit local veteran’s organizations. Last year’s ride benefited the Medway and East Millinocket veterans memorials. We are already looking forward to next year’s ride and we have asked the Barbeque Extraordinaire Chefs Wally Farrington and Ken Osborne to handle the charcoal grills again next time. Thank you to the people who donated large amounts of salads. P.S. Ken Osborne is a very good dishwasher. (He does not do house calls.) Club meetings are held on the second Thurs day of the month. Pot luck at 5:30, full club meeting at 6. Country Music Jam and Dinners are held on Tuesday nights. Meal served beginning at 4:30, music 6- 9. Nancy Deschene ndesc@myfairpoint.net What great fall weather! With the exception of a couple of big rain and wind storms, it’s been mild and great weather for being outside. Our last meeting was well attended with over 20 members. It was nice to see new faces, Howard and Howie (Quite a coincidence) Hope they will be regulars. Our meetings are held on the 3rd Saturday of the month from September till April except no meeting in December. The meetings are held at Brad Scott’s home which is 100 yards up the driveway past Moosehead Bait and the Sled shop. We have an informal pot luck meal about 6ish and the meeting is at 7. It’s always a good time and we would like to see more locals and not so locals show up! Thanks Brad! There is some trail work already done and after completing some big jobs in the past few years, the work list looks a bit shorter this year. Carey has plans for training several new groomer operators and it’s nice to have an ambitious group of young folks stepping up. This may be the most prepared we have been at this stage in the season. There are some great prizes this year! $1 from every ticket sold stays in the clubhouse! $2 apiece, or six tickets for $10. Tickets can also be purchased at G&MMarket in Holden and The Eddington Store. 300 club tickets are also available and the first drawing is at the November club meeting! There are approximately 30 tickets available for purchase at this point out of the 300. Every month, for 6 months starting in November we give away $1,000! $500, $200, $100 and 4 at $50. There are only 300 tickets available and your number stays in all season regardless if you are picked as a winner or not. These tick ets are $5 per month for the 6-month period, which is $30. Contact us at the club if you would like a ticket. Sorry about that, I will try to do much better. Just a quick recap for the past 2 months; September started out with trail work on SUN DAYS at 8:00A.M. Meet at MARION’S -she will feed the crew before they venture out into the woods. It’s just been EDDIE, TYLER, HUNTER, and I. Feel free to join in - there’s plenty of work to do . We have had had 3 or 4 meetings by now (1 st and 3 rd WEDNESDAY @7:00P.M.at the club house - corner of OHIO Street & PHILLIPS ROAD/ GLENBURN.) The landowners supper was attended sparsely (STEAK & CHICKEN) on the menu -hats off to the crew -MARION , EDDIE , TYLER , ALEXA , POLLY , GAIL and BARRY. Along with the landowners, we had some invited guests from the MSA leader ship team; EILEEN, LARRY, AL, LORI and another fellow named MARK. He made a GREAT impression on little HUNTER as he was rewarded for his attendance and club support with a NAPA hat that he wore on trail work the next day. I don’t think that he has taken it off yet! THANKS, MARK -you have made a friend for life. Plenty of good food to go around - THANK-YOU LANDOWNERS.
