Our Recreation Department Staff includes the following:

We would like to thank all our volunteers who make our major programs possible! We appreciate all you do to make the Recreation Department Programs a positive and successful atmosphere for everybody involved. SUMMER RECREATION: Our summer recreation program is a seven-week program for children who are going into Kindergarten through tenth grade. The program includes field trips to Splash Town, Kiwanis Beach, Spring Point, and local state parks. We offer theme days with scavenger hunts, survivor activities, and we top it all off with a treasure hunt in the Old Port! Parents may begin making early payments for the summer program at any time to avoid having to come up with the entire sum at one time. Please call the Recreation Office at 929-5142 to set up a payment plan and/or to register your child. FALL and AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES: In the Fall, we offer a Soccer League for PeeWee (3 and 4 year olds), Kindergarten, 1st–2nd, 3rd–4th, 5th–8th, and 9th–12th grades. We usually practice during the week and have games on Saturdays. As the school year begins, we offer plenty of after school activities! Programs include gymnastics, drawing, oil painting, indoor soccer, floor hockey, pee wee Basketball (1st and 2nd grade) and Get Outside Club. Madison Moody directs our before and after care programs. He has a staff that helps implement these programs. One of the things they do is the Walk-A-Mile program. For every mile each child walks, a food product is donated to the Hollis Food Pantry. Each child has an adult sponsor who donates the food for each mile walked. We have a party for the sponsors and walkers at the end of the year. Each year we donate over 2,000 cans or boxes of food!
