Town of Hollis, Maine RESULTS WARRANT FOR SPECIAL TOWN MEETING December 1, 2021

The Hollis Select Board suspended their Select Board Meeting and Martha Huff, Hollis Town Clerk opened the Special Town Meeting at 7:15 p.m. and proceeded to read the warrant.

Greetings:

In the name of the State of Maine, you are hereby required to notify and warn the voters of the Town of Hollis qualified by law to vote In Town affairs that a Special Town Meeting will be held at the Community Building in said Town on Wednesday, the 1st day of December 2021 A. D. (December 1, 2021) at 7:15 PM in the evening for the purpose of acting on the following Articles: To elect a Moderator to preside at said meeting. Donald Marean was elected Moderator and took the Moderator’s Oath of Office . Shall the Town vote to authorize the Select Board to use up to $85,000 from the Indian Cellar (3005) account to purchase the “Tea House” property located at Tax Map 3, Lot 1? Select Board Recommends Discussion was held. Madison Moody Chairperson of The Hollis Conservation Committee and John Mattor Past Chairperson of the Hollis Conservation Committee answered questions. Tammy Munson Hollis Code Enforcement Officer was given permission to speak as she is not a Hollis resident. 45 Hollis Voters were present. Article 2 Passed, Majority vote of Yes and 2 No votes.
