Mechanic Falls Transfer Station

After working at the Transfer Station for several years, I accepted the position of Manager. I have been learning the ins and outs of running the operation, along with the reporting for the town.

We have a great crew here, who work very well together. They are focused on the citizens’ needs and are always willing to help. Because of their hard work, we have a good relationship with the citizens of Mechanic Falls. I could not ask for a better team.

We are getting back on track with recycling; we have been able to find a market for with #2 plastic, so have begun accepting that to recycle. We have opened a new area of the landfill that is specifically for wood. We have not yet found a market for recycling glass, but stay tuned as we are always checking. All in all, the town does a very good job with recycling which saves us money. The more we recycle, the more we save!
