ANNUAL REPORT Planning

The Planning Department is responsible for assisting Planning Board applicants and helping the community identify and achieve long-term goals associated with growth, land management, and economic development. The department provides support to the Planning Board, Land Management Planning Committee, Economic Development Committee, and the Comprehensive Plan Update Committee, as well as providing planning assistance on infrastructure projects. FY 2020 started with most committees on hold or meeting remotely due to the COVID Pandemic but the department was able to complete the town’s Comprehensive Plan, staffing of the Planning Board, and revisions of the zoning ordinance brought through the LMPC. Comprehensive Plan Update Committee The Comprehensive Plan update has been hard at work this year. The Comprehensive Plan was submitted to the state on June 30, 2021 for review. A copy is available on the state website and will be available on the town page once the plan is approved.
