The 3 rd annual Big Woods Grass Drags By Lendell Buckingham T he 3 rd annual Big Woods Grass Drags event was held Septem-

dreds with approximately 1000 peo- ple traveling to watch the racing action on the grass track and with over 80 registered sleds, the day was definitely a success for the vol- unteers who spent many hours in preparation for this event. While tak- ing in the racers, non-profit vendors were on hand to provide food and beverages so people in attendance would not have to go away hungry or leave the venue for a quick bite to eat. Many local businesses and clubs benefitted from the outpour- ing of support, such as: Ashland Fire

Department, Portage and Ashland ATV clubs, Ashland Class of 2021 Project Grad, Maine Snowmobile Association, Portage Hills Country Club, along with other local clubs and church groups. A big thank you to all!
