2018/2019 Annual Report To: Residents of Hollis Hollis Fire-Rescue continues to serve the community of Hollis admirably with dedication and pride. Hollis Fire-Rescue answered 671 total calls for service last fiscal year and staff put in over 28,000-man hours between calls for service and training. Below is a summary of our calls for service this past year. In the 2019-2020 fiscal year, we answered 436 EMS calls for service and 232 Fire calls for service totaling 668 Fire and EMS responses. Our staff put in over 29,000-man hours including training and calls for service. Below are just a few examples of the types of calls we responded to during the fiscal year: • Medical Transports • Motor Vehicle Crashes • Structure Fires • Fire and Medical Alarms • Non-Transport Medicals • Chimney Fires • Carbon Monoxide Emergencies • Electrical Emergencies • Public Assistance • Smoke investigations • Vehicle fires • Trees and Power Lines Down • Wildland Fires • Aircraft Emergency Landing • ALS Intercepts with other agencies • ATV Crash • Mutual aid Fire and EMS Responses. Hollis Fire-Rescue is staffed by a very dedicated team of people, made up of Call Company members, Per-diem staff, and a small number of Full-time staff. Our staff all have varying degrees of training and many are cross trained in both Fire and EMS. Of our total staff of 40, we have 33 trained Firefighters, 14 are licensed Paramedics, 4 are licensed Advanced EMT’s and 4 are Licensed Basic EMT’s.
