2018/2019 Annual Report To: Residents of Hollis Hollis Fire-Rescue continues to serve the community of Hollis admirably with dedication and pride. Hollis Fire-Rescue answered 671 total calls for service last fiscal year and staff put in over 28,000-man hours between calls for service and training. Below is a summary of our calls for service this past year. ALS INTERCEPTS 3 CARBON MONOXIDE 4 CARDIAC ARRESTS 4 HAZARDOUS MATERIALS 2 INSPECTIONS 3 MEDICAL NON-TRANSPORTS 91 MEDICAL TRANSPORTS 282 ODOR INVESTIGATIONS 3 OUTSIDE FIRES 6 POWER LINES DOWN 13 PUBLIC ASSISTANCE 38 SPECIALIZED RESCUES 1 STATION COVERAGE 3 STRUCTURE FIRES 10 TRAFFIC CONTROL 1 TREES DOWN 18 VEHICLE FIRES 6 ALARMS SOUNDING 8 FALSE ALARMS 7 MEDICAL ALARMS 23 MOTOR VEHICLE CRASHES 79 MUTUAL AID EMS 26 MUTUAL AID FIRES 26 MUTUAL AID CRASHES 4 OUTSIDE SMOKE INVESTIGATIONS 4 STORM DAMAGE 2 WATER PROBLEMS 2 WELLFARE CHECKS 2 I am proud to report that Hollis Fire-Rescue continues to strive for excellence in our training programs. We had members complete their Paramedic schooling through our Recruitment and Retention program and we have enrolled ano her in the paramedic program this year. Due to the pandemic in early 2020, we had to move to remote learning with our regular department trainings. Our training staff adapted quickly and were able to find innovative ways to help our staff keep up with their continuing education. I would like to thank the citizens of the town of Hollis for their continued support for our emergency services. We continue to make improvements to our equipment and staffing to provide the best quality services we can to all of you. I am proud of the job my dedicated and hardworking staff does on a regular basis to provide outstanding service to our community and you should rest easy knowing that we are here wen you need us.
