DisafilliationUpdate On Sunday, February 21st, the charge conference of the Chebeague United Methodist Church voted to pursue disaffiliation from the United Methodist Church and enter into negotiations with the New England Conference. You can stay up-to-date as to where we are in that process at http://www.chebeagueumc.org/disaffiliation.html . During this process, we are both separating from the United Methodist Church and creating our own church structures, by-laws, policies, and

procedures that will move us forward as a congregation and serve the needs of our island community. Shelly Rice and Gloria Brown are co-leading this project. If you have questions, they are holding weekly office hours on Wednesdays from 4 – 5 PM via Zoom (Meeting ID: 842 2471 0929). Food Pantry Notes We are open on Sundays from 11:30 AM – 1 PM. Holy Week and Easter 2021 Friday, April 2nd at 8 PM – Good Friday Tenebrae Service. We will listen to readers share the story of Jesus’ crucifixion from the Gospel of Mark. Join us: Meeting ID: 871 1295 4660. Sunday, April 4th at 6 AM – Easter Sunrise Service, in-person at the East End (masks and physical distancing required). Sunday, April 4th at 10 AM – Easter Worship at 10 AM via Zoom. Bring seed paper crosses (please contact the church office if you need us to mail some to you!) Sunday, April 4th at 11:15 AM – Easter Egg Hunt at the Island Commons for kids Grade 5 and under! Masks and COVID guidelines will be followed. Sanitizer available.
