The Wellness Center with a MaineHealth Nurse Is Open for

Notes From The Hall

The monthly vet clinic at the Hall is on hiatus until next year , so there will be no clinic on the first Thursday of the month until the Yarmouth Veterinary Practice is ready to resume this valuable service. In other news, the heat pumps have been installed at the Hall and work well. Many thanks to the Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation for underwriting nearly half the cost of this project, and thanks to Phil, Tad, and Mary for shepherding this job to completion! Denise and Tad are putting the finishing touches on the Community Center sign in front of the building. Carrot Signs provided new text for the sign, so all that was needed was a coat of paint on the signboard itself. Tocompletetheexterior renovationof theCommunity Center, the final phase of the landscaping around the building will begin in September with the help of Erin Whetham and Nathan Doughty. We can’t wait to be done!

Message From Dr. Larson Our local newspapers are reporting the impending loss of safety net supports that have sustained our friends and neighbors through the early stages of this pandemic. Many have been furloughed from their jobs or have lost health insurance coverage for other reasons. For those without insurance, health care may soon become inaccessible. Direct Primary Care is a way to maintain access to all the essential elements of your health care. I am honored to have the opportunity to serve residents and guests of Chebeague Island and am happy to meet with you at the Wellness Center or in your homes. Working together to build on a foundation of listening, trust, and understanding, we can manage nearly 100% of your acute and chronic care needs together. What’s more, a membership in a Direct Primary Care practice gains you access to medications and refills at wholesale prices, as well as deep discounts on lab and radiology services.
