Aaron the Allergic Shepherd: Children’s Christmas Musical on December 23 at 10:00 a.m.— This musical is open to children of all ages, with speaking roles available for kids ages 8 to 12. Rehearsals are Sundays after worship on December 2, 9, 16, and Saturday December 22. Have questions? Want to RSVP for your child or help out, especially with costume and set design? Contact Ben at ben.yosuadavis@gmail.com . Christmas Poinsettias— This year, we’re decorating our sanctuary space with poinsettias! Much like we do with our Easter flowers, poinsettias can be given in honor or memory of someone. Poinsettias can be dropped off throughout the month of December. To include your submission, please contact the office (846-6987 or chebeagueislandumc@gmail.com ) or leave a note with your poinsettia. Slips will be available in the sanctuary and Parish House. Parent Support Group— To continue to walk with our island community and our children in this challenging time, CUMC is hosting a Parent Support Group for parents, caregivers, and community members to give and receive support to one another.The next meeting is scheduled for Sunday December 9 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Cookie Decorating & Holiday Movie Night with Popcorn & Pizza, December 15 5:00–8:00 p.m.— This event is for our island youth (more details to come!) Come in your favorite PJs, help us decorate cookies, and watch a Christmas movie together in the Parish House. We’ll have enough cookies for kids to take home and share with others. Christmas Worship Services: Save these dates to celebrate Christmas with your friends and neighbors at CUMC: Friday December 21 at 6:00 p.m.— Join us for a Blue Christmas service, acknowledging the reality that the holiday season can be a difficult one for many. Come to this meditative service to find peace and support in the quiet and comfort of others. Monday December 24 at 7:00 p.m.— Share our traditional Christmas Eve Candlelight Service.We remember the story of Jesus’ birth, sing carols, and share the light of Christ with one another. Online Giving— As you look at year-end giving, prayerfully consider adding CUMC to your list.We fund our ministries primarily through your gifts.
