The Foot Doctor The Foot Doctor, Dr. Rybka, is coming to Chebeague on Wednesday, January 3 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. Thanks to everyone who turned out for the December Community Lunch. We partnered with the CIUMC Food Pantry to raise money for holiday meals. Jen Corson, the new head of the Food Pantry, joined us and talked a bit about food insecurity on the island. You can call Jen with any questions about donations. Remember, donations are needed year-round, not just at the holidays. Speakingof food, theHall ishavingits regular Community Lunch at noon on January 17 and its Second Annual Italian Night to Promote Mental Health Awareness at 5:30 p.m. on January 27 . The Community Lunch will be our ever-popular Thanksgiving in January sponsored as always by Kim Boehm. (Thanks, Kim!) The Italian Night will include comfort food favorites like lasagna, chicken Parmesan, garlic bread, and Gina’s cannoli. (Many thanks to our sponsors Janna Hobbs and Michael Hollander!) It was standing room only last year. So bring your favorite bottle of wine and celebrate family and friendship at the Hall on a frosty winter night. The Hall board is starting work on an emergency- preparedness policies and procedures document. The process will take a while, but we hope eventually to be able to coordinate our efforts with those of other nonprofits and the town. Feel free to offer your suggestions. We are here to serve the community. Don’t forget to thank our amazing cooks and kitchen helpers (in alpha order): Allyson, Binkie, Deb, Dianne, Ester, Gina, Jackie, Janna, Ruth, Sharon, Susie and Wanda. Without their generosity, there would be no Wednesday coffee, soup, and lunch programs. Finally, the Hall and the island lost a good friend in December. Sally Tubbesing devoted countless hours to

helping the Library, the CICC, and the Hall. We have our new keyboard thanks to Sally. How fitting that she has left us all such a lovely musical legacy. Here’s to a healthy and joy-filled new year!
