MSA Connect: A New Era for Membership
T he Maine Snowmobile Association is excited to introduce MSA Connect , our new online membership program for MSA-affiliated clubs and their members. MSA Connect is designed to make joining and renewing easier while reducing paperwork for club volunteers. Our goal is to improve the mem bership experience and give clubs more time to focus on trails, events and their communities. What It Means for Members Members will be able to join or renew online using a computer, tablet or smartphone. They will receive immediate confirmation and have access to a digital membership card that can be stored on their phone. Members will also be able to update their own contact information, receive renewal remind ers and choose automatic annual renewal when available. Clubs can use a unique QR code at meetings, events and fundraisers, allowing people to join immediately from their phones. Assistance will remain available for members who need help using the online program. What It Means for Clubs MSA Connect will replace handwritten trans mittals, mailed membership cards and much of the manual recordkeeping currently handled by club volunteers. Authorized club officers will be able to: • View current membership information. • Access and export club rosters. • Track new members and renewals. • Receive notifications when someone joins or renews. • Review reports showing membership and payment activity.
Membership dues and donations collected through MSA Connect will be distributed to clubs through biweekly ACH payments. Financial reports will help club treasurers identify what is included in each deposit and make reconciliation easier. To prepare for the transition, clubs will need to provide the MSA with a completed agreement, their membership options and prices, and bank ing information for ACH payments. What It Means for the MSA MSA Connect will provide the MSA with more accurate statewide membership information and improve communication with clubs and members. Better information will help us track member ship trends, communicate important news and demonstrate the strength of Maine’s organized snowmobiling community. That strength is important as the MSA advocates for snowmo bilers, supports clubs and works to protect the future of our trail system. Moving ForwardTogether We understand that a new program brings ques tions. The MSA will provide training, instructional materials and continued support throughout the transition. Don’t stress—we will be here to guide you every step of the way. MSA Connect is an important investment in the future of the Maine Snowmobile Association, our clubs and our members. We look forward to tak ing this next step together.
