TRAILS MSA TRAILS APP --- YEAR TWO!!! Our very own trail app —MSA TRAILS – had a spectacular launch last season. Over 14,000 snowmobile enthusi asts downloaded the app. We spent last season learning the platform and educating both ourselves and the user group. Through this process we added thousands of miles of club trails and hundreds of points of interest(POIs). We also were able to revise the ITS plots for accuracy. What sets our app apart from various other platforms is that the data is being collected and maintained by the MSA Trails Committee and member clubs and we can update in real time. We will not accept data from riders at large without vetting via club leadership. Please make sure your club submits the officer update form to the MSA so we have accurate contact info. FORTRAIL PLOTS: • Trail data will only be accepted by CLUB OFFICERS or TRAILMASTER (or authorized representative) of the area from which data is recorded. Trails can be CLUB or ITS • Plots can be recorded right within the MSA Trails App (PRO Version) and shared to
Trails@mesnow.com . Look for Full Instructions on the MSA website. • Please record individual trails separately AND in one direction only FOR POIs: • We can add markers for GAS, FOOD, LODGING, PARK’n’RIDE, CLUBHOUSE Etc
• POI’s must be trail accessible and snowmobile related • Please include address so we may verify exact location
• Potential for clubs to increase revenue by upselling memberships to businesses that would like to be included in App. We can include business name, website, hours, a picture, and specific comments/info. We are suggesting a minimum of $20 per POI but you may negotiate any amount. Each club keeps 100% of funds collected for POI’s! Thank you to all the clubs that jumped on board last season to provide us with data. We still have about 2500 miles of club trails to incorporate into the APP. If your club trails are not yet on the app please reach out to us at TRAILS@MESNOW.COM. Also, please continue to communicate about when your trails open for the season. More info at mainesnowmobileassociation.com under MSA TRAIL APP block. We look forward to another successful year and collaboration with clubs for continuous improvement! Get your download at Google Playstore or Apple App Store—Search “Maine Snowmobile Association”. The base version is free and the PRO version is only $4.99/yr!!
