MSA Club News
for QCSC, the Medicare Trail Crew is always looking for people to help with trail work, all ages are certainly welcome. Your Slow Typing Reporter, Kevin EASTERN MAINE SNOWMOBILERS Holden, ME EasternMaineSnowmobilers.com Find us on Facebook Welcome to fall everyone! Since April a lot has been happening at EMSC. The clubhouse was built in 1970, fifty-five years ago, and has not had any major overhauls except when there was a
fire in 2007. This year members decided it was time to “spruce the place up”. The entire main hall has been repainted, the floor has been epoxied, the fireplace repaired and new tables are in place. In the entrance way and bathrooms, the floor has been epoxied and there are new bathroom fixtures. With all these improvements, the building looks brand new and is bright and cheery. We have also upgraded in another way: the club now has WI-FI access!!! There are plans to upgrade the kitchen as well in the near future. In May we held our annual Dinner/Auction which was another success. Over the summer we have been parking cars for the Bangor
concerts, which is a nice fund-raiser for us. In August we held our annual lobster feed, which was another success. All these events could not have happened without our great core of VOLUNTEERS!! To all of you- a HUGE THANK YOU for making this club the success it is. As we enter the fall months, we begin the season with our Open House/Membership Drive on Sept. 20 th . Trail workdays will begin on Sept. 28 th . If you have a couple hours on Sunday mornings to do some trail work, please contact Troy Grass, 207-478-5699. Membership information has been sent to all last year’s members. MSA is implementing
a new membership program this year, so you will see changes in our membership info as well. If you have questions, please contact Eileen at 207-843-7813. The Landowner Appreciation Dinner will return to October this year with the date being Oct. 18 th . We have well over 100 landowners in four towns, so a lot of planning and prep goes into contacting them all to say thank you. Look for more details on our Facebook page and website. That date will also be our Oct. meeting night, so please plan to attend. Until, October- enjoy the fall months and get ready for a great winter. Eileen- subbing for Troy this month only!!
