Dear Residents,

A friendly reminder from the Code Enforcement Office to please call before beginning any new project on your property as permits may be required. The staff is always willing and able to assist you with the process of obtaining a permit if necessary. We strive to work together for the good of the community and the environment. Please remember to pick up and pay for any permits before beginning any new projects. Harrison is a Maine Uniform Building and Energy Code community which requires several inspections during the construction of a new home. There are no costs associated with these inspections. Street naming and numbering is for your safety and to assist emergency personnel in the event there is an actual emergency on your property. For road naming and numbering to be effective, and for Enhanced 911 to work, all owners of structures need to display and maintain house numbers. Please make sure your house number is visible from the road. Seconds count in an emergency. Help us help our first responders by making sure your house number is CLEARLY visible.
