Induction into the Hall of Fame – David Jones

T he Maine Snowmobile Association is proud to announce the posthu mous induction of David Jones into the Maine Snowmobile Hall of Fame in recognition of his decades of ded ication and outstanding contribu tions to snowmobiling in the Jackman region and throughout Maine. For more than 40 years, David played a major role in developing and supporting the Jackman trail sys tem. From repairing groomers late at night to fixing equipment on the trails during freezing winter conditions, David’s commitment and hard work helped keep the region’s trail system operating for riders from across the Northeast. David was instrumental in creating

and maintaining many of the fami ly-oriented trail loops in the Jackman area and helped map and develop new trails when logging operations affected existing routes. Along with donating countless hours of his time, he also contributed financial support and assisted with grant writing efforts to strengthen the trail system for future generations. As the owner of one of the North east’s largest snowmobile dealerships for more than 30 years, David became a respected leader and ambassador for the sport. He built strong relationships between landowners, businesses, and the snowmobiling community, always believing that continued investment in trails, equipment, and tourism would

help grow the industry. David also served as President of the Chamber of Commerce during the years when the Chamber over saw the local snowmobile trails, fur ther demonstrating his dedication to promoting outdoor recreation and tourism in the Moose River Valley. He was previously recognized as an MSA Dealer of theYear and remained a strong advocate for helping others enjoy the outdoors and the snowmo biling lifestyle. The Maine Snowmobile Association proudly honors David Jones for his lifelong commitment to Maine snow mobiling and extends its congratula tions to his family and friends on this well-deserved recognition.
