Dear Friends,
Dear Friends, Thank you for choosing me to serve as your voice in the Maine State Legislature. It’s an honor and privilege to represent my hometown in Augusta, and I want to take this opportunity to share some of my work on your behalf. During my six years of service in the House of Representatives, I’ve forged strong , bipartisan relationships with my colleagues to solve issues affecting all the people of Maine. Working with Republicans and Democrats alike, I advanced crucial reforms revitalizing Maine’s industrial arts curriculum – making it easier for Maine students to learn how to work with their hands while promising to fill critical jobs. This legislation, which I authored, passed with overwhelming bipartisan support and is now in full effect. I’ve fought against foreign governments and their proxies who are attempting to influence Maine elections and undermine our democratic process. I proudly supported the 2023 ballot initiative which banned foreign powers and their state-owned corporations from spending in our elections – this measure was overwhelmingly supported by Maine people with a historic 86% yes vote. Despite this clear mandate, that initiative is currently stalled in court because these same foreign powers and their state owned corporations are suing the people of Maine. That’s why I recently renewed my call for a new amendment to the United States Constitution which will provide a better legal framework to protect Americans from the powerful, moneyed, and anonymous forces corrupting our politics. As a member of the Legislature’s Education Committee, I supported Bonny Eagle’s efforts to secure state assistance to build a new school providing our students with a modern, accessible learning environment at significantly reduced cost to taxpayers in MSAD 6. I’m pleased that Bonny Eagle will soon receive the necessary funding to kickstart this groundbreaking construction project. Experience matters, and I’m proud to have formed close connections with legislators from across Maine to achieve real results for our community. Thank you again for placing your trust in me, and please do not hesitate to call on me if I can ever be of service to you and your family.
