almost daily to keep them that way. Our break fasts are going really well. They can be accessed by sled, x-country ski, walk or by vehicle. We serve every Sat until the end of March from 6-10 am. Respectfully submitted Judy CENTRAL REGION We received about 15” from the Jan 25 snowstorm. It was a great boost but lacked moisture and compressed down to about 4”-5”. We have been making the best with what we have like all our neighbors and February has offered some great riding. Small incremental snowstorms have allowed us to keep the base covered and continue grooming. Our grooming team has been awesome and for the most part our equipment has been fully operational. After completing some clutch work on the Ranger 900, we shredded our second drive belt in two years leaving the machine stranded for a couple days. Our vol unteers went to work to replace the belt, break it in, and change some operating procedures to avoid future problems. So far - so good! We have our first club ride in many years planned for March 1 st and the conditions look promising. We have not experienced decent riding in March for quite some time. Stay up to date by following our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/RomeRuf fRiders/ and use our online application to join the club. The regional C4 map will be available from participating clubs and at the Rome Town Hall. The map is centered on the Read field-Belgrade-Manchester area and covers 25 different clubs. Our meetings are on the sec ond Tuesday of the month from September to April, 7:00 PM at the Rome Town Hall. All are welcome. Happy Winter Everyone! It is nice that we have been having a more “traditional” winter. For once, our snow has not melted completely and we don’t have to start over building a base to ride on. Our group of members that groom our trails have been getting a lot done this February. They have established a text group that allows them to communicate as to who is going out, which equipment they plan to use and which trails they will be grooming. It seems to be working quite well. We’ve had a few new members join recently and they are interested in learning how to groom. This is just what we need, new mem bers to step up and help. Thank you all for joining and thank you to our veterans that have put in the hours. This week we are having our annual rescue -boggan training. Each year we come up with a different scenario and try to keep everyone in the dark as to what the incident will be. The only thing we definitely know is when it is happening. Hopefully I will have good news to report and pictures to go along with it. Hope everyone has been able to get our and enjoy the snow. Believe it or not, spring isn’t far away. Stay safe and happy trails, Roberta Kemp, President If you didn’t get a chance to ride our trails, you missed some good riding. Our groomer operators have done an awesome job on our trails. All neighboring clubs have also had excellent trails. We opened up trail 27 which makes a nice loop ride possible. Trail 48 to the rail trail has continually been good. We have had the clubhouse open for food and socializing on several weekend days. Thank you to everyone that stopped by, for the donations, and for joining our club. days were too warm to groom. Thanks guys! Also, a huge thank you to all the volunteers that made extra food and manned the club house, cooked, and sold gas. We couldn’t do it without any of you. We will continue to be open at the clubhouse on the weekends as long as there is good snow. Fridays from 12-4, Saturday 9-4 and Sunday 9-2. We will be having a game night during the month of April. Watch our Facebook page for details. April will more than likely see the end of the sledding season if not over already. We will be having our regular meetings on April 8 th and www.cobbosseeconteesnowmobileclub.com First and foremost, want to thank our amaz ing trail crew and all who have helped this sea son. All their hard work shows. This is the first season that I have been able to ride our trails in a few years, they are smooth, well-groomed and signage everywhere. Members went to Norridgewock recently to ride their trails. They did not disappoint, fan tastic trails – big thank you to the Norridge wock club and surrounding areas. Some of the members went on to Northern Outdoors. Looking forward to our annual snowmobile trip, this year will be at Shin Pond Village. This is new territory for us to explore. Charlene McFarland COASTAL REGION Snow, Snow, Snow.... It’s been a number of years since we have had a “Real Winter” here on the Mid-coast but we are enjoying one of the best winters in years. Now that I’ve typed this, expect 60 degrees and full sunshine next week.... Let’s hope not. The Sno-goers have been putting the grooming equipment to work and the trail system has been in great shape and reports from local riders have been all thumbs up! Huge thank you to the dedicated folks who have been shaping up the trail system all winter long, Did I mentioned that we’ve had “Winter” on the Mid-coast! In addition to the trail work and grooming; we are officially on the MSA trail map app! For those of you who haven’t downloaded the MSA trail app, you need to get that down loaded ASAP.... I may or may not have uti lized that app on a recent ride (no, I wasn’t lost.... well not really, really lost). Image of the trail system below: Some news to attend to: The Sno-Goers meets on the 2 nd Thursday of each month. Trail grooming and maintenance is still going strong with the team meeting at 8:00 (ish) at the club house on Sundays. As we see warmer temps on the radar, the Sno-Goers would like to extend a huge thank you to our land owners. Without our landown ers’ generous support, we would not have the trail system that we have all enjoyed this year! Jeff Robertson, Wiscasset Sno-Goers CROOKED RIVER sc Casco, ME Like us on Facebook or message us at CrookedRiverSnowmobileClub@gmail.com Greetings from Casco! Lots of great happenings this month. Our groomer has been hanging in there, but we are still in fundraising mode to upgrade the tracks. We had great success with our 50/50 foot ball squares for the big game. Thanks to everyone who participated and to the winners for donating back their prizes. We also held our Poker Run on February 21 st . We had great attendance with old friends and new faces. It was great to see people also stop in to just grab lunch and visit the club house. We are looking forward to the annual Maine Maple Weekend Pancake Breakfast on March 22. We typically have a full house and love connecting with our community members who come and enjoy their morning with us. Everyone is welcome and hopefully those close by will stop in. It has been a great season so far. We have been blessed with snow in our area and hope fully can get a few more weeks in before it ends. See you on the trails! Please use caution on Sebago trails. Sebago is known for being rocky in certain areas. We’ve improved some washout hazards which is always an annual challenge. We had just enough snow to cover most rock or stump hazards. However, with continued use and sunnier days they will poke their ugly heads out again. As I write this article, we have more snow in the forecast. What a great riding season this turned out to be! Stay positive and be safe on the trails. Jim LaPointe ALNA sc Alna, ME Hello Fellow readers and riders!! Our Community Sliding Party on February 1st was a huge success! It was incredible to see so many families come out to enjoy a true

Greetings All! Spring has sprung! Even though everyone is ready for warmer weather, hopefully there will still be some good snowmobiling. Last month during school vacation the club was open every day. Some days were a little bit slower than others, but we generally had a good turnout. Because of the few snowstorms we got, the groomers were very busy on the trails. They even went out at night when the
