Border Riders Sportsman’s Club Honors Veterans with Special Ride and Luncheon

O n March 4, 2026, the Border Riders Sports man’s Club proudly hosted its annual Vet erans Ride, an event dedicated to recognizing and thanking the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The day brought together veterans, snowmobilers, and club volunteers for a memorable gathering centered around appreciation, camaraderie, and Maine’s winter trails. Veterans from across the region were welcomed by members of the club, who organized the ride as a way to salute their service and provide a day of enjoyment on the snow. Snowmobiling has long been a tradition that brings people together in Maine, and the Veterans Ride contin ues to highlight the strong sense of community within the state’s snowmobile clubs.

Throughout the day, club members took time to personally thank the veterans in attendance and recognize the sacrifices they have made in service to the country. The event served as a reminder that beyond maintaining trails and promoting the sport, snowmobile clubs across Maine often play an important role in support ing their communities and honoring those who have given so much. The Border Riders Sportsman’s Club expressed its gratitude to the veterans who attended and to the volun teers who helped organize the ride and luncheon. Events like the Veterans Ride are made possible by the dedication of club members who are committed to giving back and continuing traditions that strengthen both the snowmobil ing community and the communities they serve. For the Border Riders Sportsman’s Club, the Veterans Ride is more than just a day of riding—it is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and salute the service and sacrifice of the nation’s veterans while enjoying the outdoors and the sport that brings so many people together each winter.

Following time spent on the trails, veterans and partici pants gathered for a luncheon hosted by the Border Riders Sportsman’s Club. Club volunteers prepared and served lunch for the veterans as a small token of appreciation for their dedication and sacrifice. The meal also provided an opportunity for everyone to sit down together, share sto ries, and enjoy the fellowship that is so often found within the snowmobiling community.
