Reminder - The Sno Goers meet the 2nd Thurs day of each month at 6 pm in the fire department training office next to the Sno Goers club house. Lastly - a huge thank you to landowners! With out the generosity of our landowners, we would not have the access to our trail system that we are able to enjoy. Thank you, Jeff Robertson WINDHAM DRIFTERS Windham, ME We have snow!!! Finally, we are able to enjoy the trails in Windham. Mother Nature has sup plied us with cold weather and great snow in the month of February! Yay!! The club has been busy working the system as often as possible to get it in shape for great riding. The new trail in the East Windham forest is great, take a ride and check it out. We had a good turnout for “Donuts and Cof fee” at the 4 way on Feb 16th. The club planned a poker run and bonfire for the weekend of Feb 22 nd also. Result to follow. Please follow our Facebook page and frequent our website for projects and events dates. The club meets the second Monday of each month at 6:30 at Pat’s Pizza in North Windham. Please join us if you interested. Lastly, a special Thanks to those dedicated officers and members who work year-round for our club. THINK SNOW!!! Ride Right and Ride Safe! Till next time, Shane Spencer-Club Reporter SACOPEE VALLEY SNOW DRIFTERS Porter, ME Most likely, by the time you read this the Sacopee Valley Snow Drifter (SVSD) Trails will have closed due to the trails melting down to the base. But, what a great 2024/2025 sea son we had for five (5) weeks. Thank you to all the folks that took the time to stop and appre ciate all the work that the SVSD volunteer’s put into making great snowmobile trails for all to enjoy. And especially the hundred or so property-owners that allowed the use of their property for all to enjoy the great outdoors. Wh ere do we go from here? Tic-tic-tic before you know it the 2025/2026 snowmobile season will be here and SVSD is already at work planning safer and better snowmobile trails. How can you help? Become a member and lend-a-hand with all aspects of operating the SVSD club and sup port your sport of snowmobiling including all other outdoor activities... Enjoy your spring & summer.
As always be sure to look at our Facebook page for events, club meetings, and work parties. Respectfully, Stephanie Bravoco Club Reporter
Several members of the club packed their bags and headed out west to do some riding out in Wyoming and Montana. They got in some true mountain riding and the pictures they sent back were amazing. If you ever want to make that journey west, it’s not something that will break the bank. There are a variety of packages available for all skill levels. By the time you read this, our second club trip of the year will have occurred. This trip was to Caribou with the first being to Katah din Lodge in Moro Plantation. For those that have made the trip to Caribou, you know it is some of the best riding in the northeast. If you have never been, we strongly encourage you to make the trip. The ITS trails are wide, flat, and fast. The club trails are very scenic with lots of options to stop for a meal and pictures. Lastly, I want to thank all the club members who make our little club down in this part of the state so special. This includes all the folks helping in the kitchen when we are open, Scottie for always keeping the place clean, the crews who go out every Sunday to do the nev er-ending trail work, the guys and gals who did our recent bathroom remodels, Scott Cyr and his buddies Jack and Baxter for spend ing countless hours in the tractor keeping the parking lot cleaned up, our executive team who do their best to keep the club afloat, etc. This also goes for our guys and gals who will start getting our go kart race track ready for racing in May. Hundreds of volunteer hours go into prepping for our race season, then every one coordinating on race nights. It hurts to see so many of the smaller clubs struggle to stay solvent with just a few members, yet we are thriving down here with a solid membership and very little snow. Cheers Doug Doherty, President Greetings from the Sno-Goers, Snow, snow and snow! We are enjoying a great Feb. here on the mid-coast. It’s been a couple years since we could ride “outta the dooryard” yet alone get the conditions we’ve been enjoying. It’s great to see the folks making great use of our trail system. Grooming has been on going taking advan tage of some cool nights. All of the trails have been opened up and reports are that they are get ting well-travelled! The Sno-Goers participated in the Wiscasset Winter fest earlier in the month and provided rides on the local trails. A fun event! Some quick news - the Sno-Goers did elect new MSA director! Jeff Hunter was unani mously elected and Jeff will do an awesome job in this role. WISCASSETT SNO-GOERS Wiscassett, ME
(Continued from Page 11) Next, we have a new drag being made so we are ready and waiting on that to make them even better! 1 mile Kamp has had some heavy use this winter and we have met some fun new people! Trails are in fantastic shape and all groomed up. Even a direct route to the Cubby Hole! In other news, we are all thinking of our club member Donny Hyson who was in a snowmobile accident last month. Donny is always the first to help us with club events and always brings a huge smile and positive attitude. Many club members attended a ben efit event for him which included a raffle and 50/50. Thank you to all who attended and we are certainly sending all of our well wishes right now to Donny at Maine Med. As for upcoming events, we will have 1 mile Kamp warmed up and ready! Trails will Continually be groomed and are also all open always for walking/skiing etc. See you all on the trails for these amazing winter conditions! Club reporters- Tabatha Sawyer and Kristina Verney Hello Everyone, We were able to get out and groom trails, finally!! February came through for us, and with the beautiful goodness that is snow, we have snowmobile traffic on the trails. It is so nice to see and hear everyone out riding and buzzing to and from their destinations via trail. Our local businesses are enjoying the extra patrons as well. The A team has been out grooming repeatedly to keep them in tip top shape. They have groomed the entire trail system and continue to keep up the best they can. If you see them out and about, be sure to yield the right of way, and don’t be afraid to stop and say thanks. It also is important to remind everyone to obey all signs and stay on the marked trails as our landowners are very gracious in letting us use them. I would take extra care when the temptation hits to go off trail and please just don’t do it. When riders go off trail it does get reported back to the club, and we do not like to have our landown ers unhappy. Please be respectful. We will be taking our sleds to the next club meeting so if you want to take a nice evening ride, and join the club, or just come to a meet ing, be sure and take the trails. If you enjoy walking, biking, horseback rid ing or snowmobiling the trail system, be sure to join the club or donate to the club as every donation goes into maintaining the trails. Our tireless workers take no pay and donate their time, skill set and equipment. WALDOBORO SNO-CRAWLERS Waldoboro, ME

Hello from sunny Saco, Maine. Finally, we had snow on the ground and it didn’t get washed away by 55-degree weather and rain. The month of February and in to March has proven to be our best stretch of snow in about seven years. Our Chaiman of the Board, Jim Stubinski, is a great mechanic and got our fleet of three grooming sleds and drags all prepped for the season. The sleds have been out regu larly keeping the bumps down and the trails flat. Jim has also been out GPSing all our trails for an updated file of our entire trail system. Our Trail Master, Pete Fournier, fabricated a new drag for our side-by-side and has been busy dialing in that combination. On top of all that, our Vice President, Scott Cyr, has been busy training several of our newest groomer operators. Kudos to the entire team for keep ing our trails in great shape.
