Upcoming MSA Meetings For March

Executive Committee meeting will be held on Thursday, March 13 th at 7:00 pm via Zoom. Please watch your email for login information. March’s Director’s Meeting will be held on Saturday, March 15 th hosted by the Benedicta Snow Gang. Watch MSA website or Facebook for details. A showcase Ride is planned on the morning of March 15 th . More details to follow. At the January Director’s Meeting the Canton Hi-Riders was drawn for the MSA Pot O Gold. A Club Director was not present.

Bob LaFontaine and the Pine Tree Egg Ride On Feb. 1 st the PineTree Camp 52 nd annual Egg Ride was held.This year Bob LaFontaine who is a MSA member of the Northport Ridge Riders SC and a long-time member of the MSA Scholarship committee volunteered to be an egg rider in memory of his friend, Larry Lafland. Bob received over $1000 in pledges for the cause. On the morning of the ride, it was cold, windy, and overcast as everyone gathered to “egg up.” Barry and Gail Ryan and Eileen Lafland were there to support Bob. Bob was on a loaner sled so; Barry gave him a quick review of it before the eggs were placed in his shirt. Bob placed a picture of Larry on the dash of the sled and waited for his eggs. Just as the eggs were being placed in his suit Bob was heard to say, “This is for you Larry.” It was then that the clouds disappeared and the sun came out. It was still cold but at least the sun was out. Once all riders were ready the group left Dysart’s and headed to Penobscot SC in Hermon. When Bob arrived at Penobscot SC there wasn’t an egg that was left unbroken. As he kept saying all morning it was all for a good cause.
