EASTERN MAINE SNOWMOBILERS Holden, ME EasternMaineSnowmobilers.com Find us on Facebook Wow December! Almost Winter! Just last night (Nov.19 th ) at our clubhouse we hosted the MSA directors meeting and president’s night. What a great turnout and camaraderie around a wonderful meal. It was nice to put a face with so many names that I had seen over the years in print and online and at their individual clubhouses. Just about one week from today will be Thanksgiving and then boom it’s December!

BALD MOUNTAIN SNOW RIDERS Dedham, ME
Thank you to everyone that helped out with the Mill Stream bridge replacement. This is by far our largest bridge at a 60’ span and 80’ total of decking, and the seven of you made this a very easy project. Looking forward we have a few more small bridges to do before the snow flies, along with miles of trails to be brushed and cleared. On top of working on trails, we also have to do the annual service on our groomers. None of which would be possible without the help of all our volunteers. We post on our Face book page when we hold workdays and need all the help we can get.

signs on the building, installing the strobe light on the Kubota with the roof bracket (thank-you Bradley, where are your safety goggles?) Many thanks go out to member Jon K. for fabricating the doorframe panels to be installed on the Kubota. We should have the door coverings on them soon (pictures in next month’s article) along with the new heater being installed -everyone will want to be out grooming. Even more to add, we have ordered a new drag for the Kubota that is being built (pictures in next month’s article -hopefully in use on the trails) and last but certainly not least -thank-you!! to Don P. for repairing our 2 old standby pipe drags. They look like brand new! Can’t wait to wrap them around a stump or rock -sorry Eddie I’ll be more careful.... Look ing to replace the old counter top with new one as well as upgrading the old single use sink to new “ double sink “. It should come in handy with the pots and pans at meal clean -up time ( women requested it)... Thank-you goes out to MSA super raffle ticket sellers; Marion P., Polly G., Nikki B., and golf cart chauffer-Barry R. and the gener osity of the owners (Tylor and Autumn P.) of village variety for letting us use space in their store on Friday nights, as well all of the cus tomers that put up with all pressure / shenan igans that coerces them to buy more tickets ( that’s mostly Polly G. and Marion P. ) -I would never do that, would I?

KENDUSKEAG STEAM RIDERS sc Kenduskeag, ME Good morning fellow snowmobilers... We hope that you had a happy Thanksgiv ing. Sitting here at the kitchen table today looking out the window, it’s raining (much needed by the way) and 45°outside. We have had a couple of trail work days, trying to get the blow downs removed, brushing, and a search and rescue effort to retrieve one of our bridges that washed downstream. After a lit tle bit of trial and error, low and behold -they found it (surprisingly intact and no worse for the wear of the journey). It will be placed back into its designated location soon before the snow starts falling. As we wrap up November, and get into December (you will no doubt be reading this article and the rest of the paper real close to Christmas), should see snow on the ground by now. With that being said, time to get the reg istration stickers on the sleds, one final check of the sleds, trailers, and the rest of the riding gear. We also have a new drag (all painted and ready to go) -thanks Dale C. -picture attached.
