A Tribute to Jon Holes of the Podunk Snowmobile Club By Alan Swett
W e lost a great snowmobiler last month. We lost Jon Holmes a real gentleman with a smile that will forever be in our hearts. My relationship with Jon was one of great respect, he made us laugh he had a strong work ethic and had that I can fix anything attitude. He had a positive personality that shined when he was around us. His passion for kid’s sports will be
remembered by those he taught for their lifetimes. Snowmobiling was in his soul. He loved to ride and was very active in getting the area trails ready for another season. Past President of the Podunk Snow mobile Club and was very active inThe Maine Snowmobile Asso ciation. But, he helped everyone in the snowmobile community in his area. That’s where I met
him many years ago and he was an instant friend. Jon and his wife Susan are lovely folks and I’ll miss him dearly. At The Blessing of the Sleds held recently we paid trib ute to a fine Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Friend and Snowmobiler. If I could make a trail with tears to heaven, I’d come get you buddy, you left us to soon.
