New Gloucester Community Fair Annual Report 2022-2023

The Community Fair held on August 20, 2022 was another great fair. The sky was clear and beautiful, but the temperature was sweltering by early afternoon. Fairgoers still came out in force with an attendance exceeding 1500. Each year the fair continues to grow. We added different food trucks, more entertainment and more vendors. The fairgrounds start buzzing as early as 630am when vendors eagerly wait to set up their goods. Days before the fair the fairgrounds start to transform with the help of the Public Works Department, Recreation Director and a dozen volunteers. The fair is generally funded by vendor fees and our great sponsors. To help offset rising costs the town budgets $1000 to help with the event. On behalf of the Fair Committee, I want to thank all the town employees, volunteers, vendors, residents, and attendees for helping New Gloucester have a great Community Fair.
