trail work. They have been rebuilding bridges and re-routing several trails lost for one reason or another. Most trail work is done on Sun days. They typically meet at Jimbobs. We are always looking for more people to help. If you’ve got some time available your assistance will be welcome. The club was able to sell two of the groom ers we no longer needed. They were replaced by a bigger and newer groomer purchased at the end of the season this spring. The annual Christmas Party will be held December 9th hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hewes at their home. They are gracefully providing the entire meal. All anyone needs to do is bring a Yankee Swap gift if you wish to participate. The Poker Rally plans are up in the air. The last couple of year’s snow conditions have not been conducive for riding. This is our main fundraiser. If anyone has any ideas please let us know. If you haven’t already done so, please join a club. We always need new members. This is all for now. Everyone have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Please travel safe. Nancy Moody Club Secretary. EASTERN REGION KENDUSKEAG STREAM RIDERS sc Kenduskeag, ME Greetings from the small town of KEN DUSKEAG, MAINE. We have had a couple of meetings, attended by the core of the club that does most of the work that needs to be done. Many thanks to Dale and JoAnne for hosting the meetings at their home -really appreciated. Trailmaster Greg has rallied the troops again this season to spearhead the never ending trail work. Greg has us meeting at the fire station on SUNDAYS at 9:00 A.M. and usually sends out a text message reminder the day before. Just hoping for some colder days and nights to freeze up some water holes, getting ready to get out and put up stakes and signs. Then it will be time for the SNOW and some grooming. THANK-YOU goes out the folks at SAMS QWIK STOP / KENDUSKEAG for sell ing some MSA SUPER RAFFLE TICKETS (maybe we can have a local winner, again this year). Just to wrap it up for this time: next meet ing at Dale and JoAnnes house on THURS DAY, DECEMBER 14 th @ 7:00P.M.Enjoy the HOLIDAYS, and have a SAFE SNOWMO BILE SEASON.. Barry Ryan GLENBURN LAKE RIDERS sc Glenburn, ME GREETINGS, FELLOW SNOWMOBILERS. As I am looking out the kitchen window writing this it is raining, cold, and a typical NOVEMBER day. The trail crew has been out brushing, cut

ting, bridge building, and some signing. Thanks again to Eddie P., R.P., Dustin, Dil lon K., Gene B., Tommy, and Barry R. Gene, Tommy, and Barry have been doing some excavating work on some of the rocky, stump areas on a few trails. That MINI-EXCAVA TOR makes short work of those, and leaves behind a smooth base to groom SNOW on.

Marion, Polly and Barry have been sell ing MSA SUPER RAFFLE TICKETS at VILLAGE VARIETY on FRIDAY nights (THANK-YOU to TYLOR and AUTUMN) for providing a space to set up our table, only a few more FRIDAYS to go. We also have had some additional support from a few of our local businesses that are helping out as well. We really appreciate the efforts of TOCCI’S CHECKOUT CONVENIENCE, SMITH BUILDERS, WORKSTORE, KNOWLTON’S AUTOMOTIVE, HARVEY TRAILERS, HARVEY RVS, WHITE LIGHTING AUTO MOTIVE, GLENBURN LANDSCAPE & SUPPLY, TAYLOR RENTAL, SPARKLE POND MOBILE HOME PARK, WILEY’S AUTO SALES, MISS TINAS DAYCARE, TUFFY BEAR FURNITURE, PRAYS AUTO SALES, and of course to VILLAGE VARI ETY. Due to your support, this will be one of GLRSC best seasons, THANK-YOU. Gail and I have been busy this past week; MONDAY -we attended an MSA DIREC TORS MEETING in MADISON hosted by the ANSON / NORTH ANSON S.C. The meeting was well attended, good exchange of information on key areas across the state, and we enjoyed an AWESOME Thanksgiving style meal with ALL the fixings. Sandy P.was a guest speaker, she presented a proposal to have a “ SNOW QUEEN “contest to go along with MSA SNOWMOBILE SHOW. It sounds like a GREAT idea, more to follow on that item later. Larry got the assignment to get us there and back home safely, although Marion was willing to give it a try... TUESDAY-we had the opportunity to attend the BRADFORD S.C. meeting at the town hall in BRADFORD. We were greeted by Glen H. -club president, small turnout, good exchange of information regarding trail work. We joined their club as associate members. WEDNESDAY-the travel time was quite short as we attended our home club meeting - GLRSC, 3 miles away. We had a small turnout, discussed our trail work plans, getting 2 new drags (rebuilt / built), doing some maintenance and upgrades in the kitchen and other items. Trail work will continue on SUNDAY @ 8:00A.M.-meet at VILLAGE VARIETY-still plenty of work to be done. Eddie P. has new stakes to be painted and we should be able to put up the STOP AHEAD / STOP signs right after hunting season and the staking out of the fields. Sounds EASY, doesn’t it? Next two meetings will be WEDNESDAY, DECEM BER 6 th and WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 20th, at the clubhouse on 5 Phillips Road, GLENBURN @ 7: 00P.M. Please get your MSA SUPER RAFFLE TICKETS turned in, the drawing will be TUESDAY, DECEMBER 12 th in AUGUSTA. GOOD LUCK. THURSDAY - back on the road again. This night we attended the PALMYRA S.C. meeting at PALMYRA SCHOOL on route # 2 PALMYRA. We were greeted by PRESI DENT ISAAC, TRAILMASTER SHANNA, and the rest of the attending members. Again, a small, but enthusiastic group. A couple of their projects are bridges; 1 is 70 feet long, has been stipped of the old decking and awaiting the arrival of colder weather to get the NEW decking onto the site (again the rains have hampered this from being completed already). The other bridge isn’t quite a daunting task -just work in progress. Their next meeting is on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 21st @ 6:30 P.M. and a meal is being served as well -along with a YANKEE SWAP to boot. Good chance to get around and check out what other local clubs are doing... FRIDAY (TGIF), NO meetings today, just some local trail maintenance. Marion and I will be selling MSA SUPER RAFFLE TICK ETS again tonight at VILLAGE VARIETY (less than a month to go for drawing). It really doesn’t seem possible that we are in the home stretch (we started back in SEPTEMBER). Just to wrap this up - every one of the clubs that are in the MSA has been diligently out there hold ing meetings, communicating with landown ers , maintaining trails, hosting suppers , con ducting raffles, fundraisers , and a lot of other activities -they ALL do this willingly, giving of their time and efforts to provide the trails that we ALL benefit from .How can you help ? -Join a club (heck, join more one) MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK. Thank-you, and please enjoy the upcoming Holidays and this Snowmobile Season .

BARRY E. RYAN VICE -PRES. G.L.R.S.C. P.S. Welcome NEW associate members ALLEN and BONNIE CHASE PAUL BUNYAN sc Bangor, ME As I write this, we have had a small tease of snow and some chilly nights, giving us a taste of what is (hopefully!) to come! From our club to all of you, we hope that you all have been enjoying a fantastic holiday season! By the time you read this, we SHOULD have the last of our trail work pretty much wrapped up, and maybe we’ll even be lucky enough to have some white stuff on the ground, but that remains to be seen! At the time of this writing, we have one bridge to do some repair work on, and a small section of mowing left to do. Beyond that we need frozen ground (and water) to complete any remaining trail work. Our TrailMaster and other volunteers have been very proactive this season, with work happening almost every weekend to get us in great shape for the com ing riding season. Hats off to ALL the volun teers across the state who put in the hours to make our trails a reality!! Keep an eye on our Facebook page for any updates, and feel free to drop us an email at paulbunyanscbangor@hotmail.com with any questions! Volunteers are ALWAYS welcome and VERY MUCH appreciated, many hands make light work!! We generally hold our meetings on the second Wednesday of each month during the season, starting in September, and would love to have anyone who is interested join us! We usually post meeting information on our Facebook page ahead of time, but feel free to email or message us on Facebook with any questions! www.facebook.com/ PaulBunyanSnowmobileClub Sincerely, Paul Phillips - President QUADCOUNTY sc Springfield, ME Hi to all, Quadcounty has been busy with trailwork in November. Two bridges have been done, one in Springfield on trail 12 to ‘Keag and one on ITS110 in T8R3. Trail crews have been out in T8R4 on ITS110, in Carroll Plt on ITS105, in Lakeville on ITS105 and Sakom Twp. on ITS105. There is plenty more to do, so please volunteer to help us, we leave from Clubhouse on Rt6 at 8am. on Sunday mornings. Jeremy Ham’s offset bush hog with Scott Mcewen at the controls did a great job bushhogging 4 miles of ITS105 in Lakeville. It will make for good grooming and great riding this winter! Quadcounty SC installed siding on another wall of the groomer barn, as we earn money or have donated, we keep improving our barn and clubhouse and our grooming equipment. Quadcounty SC had a Hunter’s Break fast, the first 3 Saturdays of November; The money that was made on the first breakfast was donated to the Church next to clubhouse to help them with their heating bill this win ter. Quadcounty SC served 253 people in the 3 breakfasts. We have served a Free Thanksgiv ing Dinner for 12 years at the clubhouse, we have so many generous people and businesses that donate food and money and club mem bers that volunteer their time for days to get the necessary food, supplies and cooking the 11 turkeys and pies to be ready for the line out the door at the posted serving time! Mother Nature showed up in the Quad county area, the day before Thanksgiving, with about 7+ inches of the white stuff, it did change over to a little rain, no icing thank goodness, but did shrink it to a few inches. IT’s coming! Your typing reporter’ Kevin

Gene and I just finished up placing a NEW culvert in a 4-foot ditch on one of our main trails- this had been an issue in the past, as the trail comes across a big field, where you didn’t even know that there was a hazard. Now the crossing will be safe and marked with the proper signage. Thanks to Gene for donating the culvert, and the gravel. Thanks need to go out to Jeff G. for donating the crushed ledge for the ends of the culvert (expecting rain tonight -again) so we got it placed just in time. Pictures enclosed.. Eddie P. just out cruising around bush -hogging the trails, what else you gonna do on a CRISP SUNDAY MORNING (hunting season is over) .Bring on the COLD WEATHER and SNOW.

Little Tom can’t wait to get out on the trails ( chainsaw in hand ) helps out as grandfather Gene gets ready to unload the MINI -EXCAVA TOR for some more rock and stump removal and smoothing out the rough spots
