takes money. We also have t-shirts and sweat shirts for sale. If you are interested in either tickets or clothing, feel free to contact me at 207-212-2022. Think snow! Roberta Kemp, V.P. and Membership Chair Greetings fellow snowmobilers By the time this is read, Christmas at our club house has come and gone, Santa came to our annual Christmas party with lots of great food and fun with a Yankee swap. The trails are ready, bridges fixed, signs up and we made some minor adjustments to make trails safer. Our trail master wants to thank everyone who came out and worked every Sunday. All workers were served a light lunch after work was done. Our clubhouse will be open on weekends and hours of operation will be posted on Face book account Lexington Highlanders Snow mobile Club. We will be serving hot food; we also will have gas (non ethanol gas.) A big shout out to all of our members who will make this happen. Hope you have time in your scheduled snowmobile trips to come and ride ITS con nector trail 115 from Kingfield to Stratton. Please ride right and safe. The next meeting may be a potluck supper in January. It could be associated with a club ride. Look on our Facebook page for details. Also being planned is the 4th annual Snow Fest collaborating with the Embden Pond Association. That will be February 17, 2024. Starting at noon at the Embden Pond boat launch, we anticipate warm food, hot cocoa, water and merchandise to compliment the games we hope to have available. Details on our Facebook page as the date approaches. There will be some trail reroutes. They will be marked and making the ride more pleasant. The south trail crossing of East Shore Road near Walker Road is not yet defined. There has been some deforestation and a new trail must be marked. The trail then will proceed up to Dunbar Hill/Strawberry Junction provid ing access to ITS 84 and the rail-bed by the Solon Bridge. This was closed due to logging last year. If you head to Concord Twp. from Strawberry Junction you will have a rerouted trail to what was Donovan’s Tree Farm, then normal routing to Pleasant Ridge. The West Shore is experiencing logging operation north of the Pond near Witham Brook and the Silver Mine but should not need a reroute. So, join a club, register your sled, buy more Super Raffle Tickets and THINK GOOD SNOW! Sled with respect. Although insured, remember kiddo, they don’t pay you, they pay your widow. Your Cub Reporter Club reporter Cathy Horne EMBDEN TRAVELERS sc Embden, ME Find Us On Facebook Our October meeting almost had an atten dance record with many intending to visit the snowmobile show in Augusta. Chris Black we missed you. The folks are getting ready! Now may we have usable snow for our sport! Cooler temps are here and ice is on the pond! We are excited for a real Winter this year! We have now had 2 club meetings. Our first brought out 20 members and our most recent had 15 in attendance. Bridge work was discussed and executed. With all the heavy rain we have experienced over the summer it washed away some key bridges. Thanks to members with heavy equipment, we were able to put them back into place. It takes a dedi cated team to get the trails ready for one and all. Deb Long, club president CENTRAL REGION www.cobbosseeconteesnowmobileclub.com November has been a busy month for us. Starting with breakfast for members on Sun day, November 5 th . Hearty breakfast served for all before trail work. Next breakfast will be Sunday, December 10 th at 7 a.m. This is the SECOND Sunday. Trail crews continue with trail work like most clubs. Meet at the clubhouse Sundays at 8 a.m. Reminder to respect the trail you ride, a landowner has given permission for us to use it not abuse it. They can easily shut it down for misuse. Slow down as you never know what is around the next corner, groomer, snowmobile, deer, or people walking on the trails. In honor of Landowner Appreciation, gift cards were given to Deidre Burgland and Phyllis Schoenfeldt. Thanks to Minnehonk Ridge Riders of Mount Vernon who purchased a trail drag from the club. Christmas party will be held Friday, Decem ber 15 th starting with supper at 6 pm followed by gift exchange. Club had a booth at the Fire Station during voting time. Well attended, sold MSA tickets, met with landowners, signed up a few new and old members, very successful day. MSA Ticket sales did well this year. Hope fully we have sold a winning ticket, time will tell. Appreciate all the support of those who purchased from us and special thanks to Four Corners Store for supporting us in selling tick ets at their business. Club meets 1 st & 3 rd Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m., 3 rd Tuesday potluck supper is held at 6:15 p.m. with meeting to follow. Did I men tion we have some mighty fine cooks/bakers? Any high school student in need of commu nity service, contact Dave Cogley, Trailmas ter for dates/times to help. Get out into the outdoors, help your local snowmobile club, dedicated volunteers and gain the community service you need. Charlene McFarland Club Secretary COCHNEWAGAN TRAILBLAZERS Monmouth ME Good day everyone! For those that celebrated Thanksgiving, hope you had a hearty feast and great company, I don’t have too much to report this month. It is pretty much the same as last month. The weather is getting colder, which is good for letting our wet areas freeze. Trail work is well underway, with bridges being fixed and redecked and brush cleared out of the trails. We do have one major change in the works at this time. Part of CT 115 that crosses Main St. (Route 202) needs to be rerouted on the side going towards Academy Rd. There is a plan in place and hopefully will all be worked out by riding time. We have raffle tickets for sale and available if anyone can help sell them. Fundraising is very important, seeing that our lean-to addition has been started. That COBBOSSEECONTEE sc West Gardiner, ME

If we were to base our beliefs on our day to-day media, we would truly believe that Our fellow man’s goodness no longer exists. But each day I am truly amazed by the generosity and common sense of the majority of us. Like most clubs of any kind, we are driven primar ily by our volunteers who gain very little for their hours and commitment to a cause. I’d like to take a minute to say a big Thank You to a few of these wonderful people. A big Thank You to Doug Kelly of Deep Gash Trucking and Cam Jackson of Cross Rock Logging for taking a recent Satur day when we are certain they had hundreds of other things to do, to ensure that our trail would continue to be open between St. Fran cis and Allagash, ensuring everyone’s contin ued enjoyment of an unparalleled Northern Maine trail. Doug supplied his own time and expertise and equipment to replace a section of trail, on ITS 92, that was essential in our continued access to the Allagash. Cam aided in this endeavor and to both of these men, we are in your debt. Another individual who continually pro vides assistance to our club, is JR Sirois of JRS Firewood. Each year we receive 2 cords of wood to heat our Sno Angels Lodge. Each fall when the tim ing is right, we are pleasantly surprised when this firewood is delivered with no prompting to our lodge. Throughout the winter, when the winds howl and jack frost makes his presence known, we are able to provide a warm haven for all of you snowmobilers to enjoy a warm meal, use our facilities and meet friends, old and new. If you see JR in your travels, give him a hearty Thank You and due to people like him, we continue to operate and make every one snowmobile trips just that much more wonderful. Thank You, immensely. By the time this comes to print, we will quite certainly have snow and will have begun the preliminary grooming. The signs are out, the brush and blowdowns are removed, the groomer is serviced and we are ready and rar ing to go. Our lodge will be opening shortly and after January 1st, we will have a hot meal each Saturday. Stop on in, we are anxious to meet you and to those of you that have been in before, welcome back! We have been busy planning our win ter schedule, more details to follow in next month’s newsletter. Respectfully yours, Kim Ouellette SMOKI HAULERS Oakfield, ME Hello all! We are hopeful that by the time that you are reading this that we finally have some snow that might stick around. While we haven’t had any great amount of snowfall yet, we have been very busy at work. Our club and volun teers have been putting in many hours around the club house and on our trails. From brush cutting to bridge repairs, we are no strangers to the work that needs to be completed for a successful snowmobiling season! As always, we take this opportunity to urge you to join a club and lend a helping hand. Our first public event of the season, our Halloween Trunk-Or-Treat, went better than we could have expected. It was figured that we hosted over 100 kids that night, handing out candy & making s’mores. It was great to see so many of our community members and be able to offer this for the children, we look forward to this event for the years to come! That being said, we are working on some fundraisers for the upcoming season. While we only have a few planned so far, we encour age you to keep up to date with our plans via our Facebook page. The club would like to invite you all to stop in on the weekends in January and February (snow permitting) to enjoy some concessions, check out our clubhouse and even pick up some new Smo ki-Hauler merchandise! We are also excited to announce that we will be participating in the KAST poker run, as well as a kids groomer ride day, with finalized dates to be announced. That is all we must talk about this time, but be sure to be on the lookout, as we hope to be offering more events in the near future! See you all very soon and lets all hope for some snow!

LIMESTONE SNOHAWKS Limestone, ME
Greetings from the County, The Limestone Snow Hawks held elections for President and Treasurer at their Oct 22nd meeting and Christopher King and Kimberley King were each voted in for another term as President and Treasurer respectively. They work hard for our club and we appreciate them. The Snow Hawks were selected as a Ski doo Snow Pass Program recipient. We applied for the 50/50 match grant to rebuild a section of Trail 89. The grant application was written with assistance from the Limestone Chamber of Commerce of which we are members. A lot of sign work has been done as we pre pare for the upcoming snowmobile season. We also have plans for fundraising and adding a small section of trail. We are hoping for a great season. Any way, here it goes -- short and sweet! We got 6-8” of heavy, wet white gold yes terday, which made all the deer hunters happy. The ground is not frozen at all, but out trail crew has started staking and signing - hope fully they are driving them deep!! There is water, water, water everywhere, we need some sub-zero temps to freeze it all up. Our membership is 92 as of this date, so we are on that “100” thresh hold early again this season. Please get your membership in to us asap so that you will be counted. I am pretty sure that all the Caribbean Cruise raf fle tickets have sold out again, I will give you the winner’s name in the January issue of the paper.
