7 th Annual MSA Golf Scramble By Mike Grass T he Seventh Annual MSA Golf Scramble took place on June 24, 2023 at Foggy Brook Golf Resort in Palmyra. A total of 26 teams came out to support MSA for a great day on the course. MSA President Al Swett and VP Mark Chinnock presided over the opening ceremonies and everyone started with a “bang”. Golfers hit, smashed, mutilated, crushed and pulverized the golf balls to the best of their ability. All joking aside, some pretty good golf was out there on the course. MSA had continuing support from some great spon sors. Chase Toys had a 2023 Ski doo Renegade Turbo on hole number 2, with those snowmo bilers, I mean golfers “dooing” their best to get the hole in the

cup in one shot. Again, on hole number 8, Darlings of Newport had another hole in one prize. A 2024 Jeep was casting its shadow over the tee box to intimidate the “drives” on number 8 with its magnetic pond. Magnetic to golf balls that is. More of our great sponsors included A E Robinson, Ham mond Lumber, Coop’s, Gordon Contracting, Royal River Boat Yard, Brooks Equipment and Septic Service and many hole sponsors. Your support of this event has grown it from its hum ble beginnings with 13 golfers the first year to its current sta tus and MSA owes it all to you, our fellow snowmobilers who plan to hit the links every year.
