Sundays at 10 AM, We will be offering a mix of indoor and outdoor worship gatherings. For indoor services, we are asking everyone to wear masks, practice physical distancing, and sanitize hands upon entry. When the sanctuary receives WiFi, we will be offering a remote option for worship as well.

Special Music and Sunday School – Volunteer Opportunities! Many thanks to Ben Yosua-Davis for his work with the choir, in working with our children in their musical gifts, providing music for worship, and in offering music through the pandemic. He will be stepping back once in-person worship resumes. This summer, we’re looking for soloists, instrumentalists, or small ensembles to offer their gifts and talents during Sunday worship for special music. Many thanks to Cheryl Hillicoss for all her work in making Deep Blue Kids a special and meaningful experience for these past several years – our kids are grateful! With her stepping back in the fall, we’ll be looking for new faces to help nurture our youngest disciples in learning to grow in God’s love. Curriculum is provided. Talk to Melissa if you are interested in helping on a regular basis! Summer Reading Group -- Attend any or all sessions! Sunday, July 18 th , 4 PM: Subversive Jesus by Craig Greenfield, Sunday, August 15th, 4 PM: Remake the World by Astra Taylor. Sessions will be over Zoom and also hosted at the Chebeague Island Library. KINDNESS BINGO! We all are recovering from the challenges of this past year, so let’s remember to be kind to ourselves and to others this summer. Pick up a BINGO card with activities for individuals and families to make this summer one of kindness and compassion. Starting July 4 th , email the church for a copy, download it off the Current Events portion of our website, or pick one up at the Parish House during office hours. Have a BINGO (or two or three?) Turn in your card at the church office to pick a prize! Disaffiliation Update: On Friday, June 11 th , the New England Annual Conference Session voted to ratify our disaffiliation from the United Methodist Church by a vote of with 75%. Tuttle Rd. UMC and HopeGateWay, our sister congregations on this disaffiliation journey, also received affirmative votes to leave the UMC. Due to the generosity of our community we have successfully reached our “Keep the Buildings” campaign goal. Thank you all for your generosity and support! Food Pantry Notes Financial support in the form of Hannafords gift cards as well as access to local foods and other staples will continue to be available for those in need.
