ANNUAL REPORT New Gloucester Water District
Over the past year the New Gloucester Water District has focused efforts on maintaining reliable and cost-effective operations. Last year, Planet Wastewater Services, of Richmond, Maine, began operating the pump station and maintaining the water distribution system for the NGWD. The transfer of this service from the Auburn Water District to Planet Wastewater went very smoothly as they have expertise and familiarity with our system. Auburn Water District has continued to provide NGWD with quarterly meter reading services and will continue to host telemetry of pump station operations and alarms on its radio tower in Auburn. The District’s source well is tested on a regular basis for a range of water quality parameters in accordance with State requirements. We are happy to inform our customers that all recent testing has passed. Our customers can be confident in the high quality and safety of our public water supply. Test results are now posted on the Water District section of the Town webpage for review. New Gloucester Water District thanks its customers and the Town for their continued support. We welcome any feedback or input on how we can best provide service to you.
Sincerely,
Trustees of the New Gloucester Water District Norm Chamberlain, Chairman Dianna Jordan, Vice-Chairman Vaughn Hardesty, Treasurer
