ripped down trees and bent over more trees. We have been out cutting trees to clear trails. Have also been waiting for snow to add to our skimpy base but 1/4 inch flurries isn’t enough to allow us to groom. We will be going out on sleds to check the remaining trails for brushing and down trees. Quadcounty SC does a three month Calendar raffle, we have sold all 300 tickets in the previous two years and it looks like we will again this year, Thanks to everyone who participated, the daily winners will be announced on Quad County Snowmobile Club on Facebook, Thanks again, this our biggest fundraiser for the year, with clubhouse closed and not serving Breakfasts and Suppers because of pandemic, hopefully this will change soon, people miss the food and social interaction. We are planning on Hot Dog Roast at the Locks on ITS105 on February 27 from11:30 - 2 or when people are full and gone. There should be plenty of snow and groomed trails by then. The club supplies the fire, food, cook- ing, All you have to bring Transporta- tion, appetite and something to drink. Your slow typing reporter, Kevin Hello all!! It’s been a while since we last checked it. There really has not been a lot of action since the Covid-19 virus hit. We had to cancel both our summer grass drag event and now we just made the decision to cancel our annual winter race event as the complications we could run into are just too much for a club to han- dle. Our thinking caps have been on and we have been getting creative. We discussed and approved our president and secretary to purchase several hun- dred dollars’ worth of apparel with a jazzed up new logo. We decided to sell them just before Christmas and wouldn’t you know it, we pretty much sold out of all the items we purchased and even sold some old items we still had! What a good fundraiser that turned out to be for us! We also have in the plans a big fundraiser for next year which we will keep under wraps for now but let’s just say it is some- thing the club has never done before and should draw some attention. We also have discussed some smaller fundraisers for this sled season that may work out well also. Moving on from the troubles of fundraising during the times of Covid-19 and getting into trail PENOBSCOT sc Hermon, ME

had plenty to be proud of. All trails have been cut and cleared. Signs have been put up. Bridges have been finished and upgraded for another season. Grooming equipment has been serviced. Club members continue to give their all. Business members are allies with their gener- ous support. Landowners have been amazing, even with some early off trail riding issues. A massive thank you to Rich Armstrong and the Snow- man Printing group. Once again Rich has provided the club with a banner at a moment’s notice. With Carmel not being able to host bingo for the past year, our main source of income, we have decided to collect bottles in hopes of raising money. We will be setting up a collection drop off in the club parking lot. Please consider making a bottle donation. All pro- ceeds will help keep the club house open. Everyone be cautious of the ice, especially since in many places it has not solidified yet. Keep dancing or it might just be time to switch over to straight praying, but either way let us wish for snow. Stay safe and hopefully we will be seeing you riding in Carmel soon Sincerely, Elijah Brazier Hello Folks, What a season we have had. I sin- cerely hope that we never have to go through this again. Thus far, we hav- en’t been able to hold a Club Meeting. I really miss seeing the great people who have supported our club and came out for the supper meetings and other activities. It is hard to believe that we will be having our Election of Officers for the new next season soon. If there is anyone that may be inter- ested in becoming an officer of the club, please let us know. The board of Directors did meet early on, but we did not meet for a January Director’s meeting. This terrible Covid-19 stuff is raising havoc with our club. This is our 50th Year of Incorpora- tion, and we haven’t been able to have any kind of celebration. Maybe, we can “Postpone” a celebration until next season! We haven’t had too much snow to brighten up our days and fill up our trails. Is it time to do a Snow Dance? Dewey, what do you think? Jim and Jon Rudnicki will be grooming once we get more snow. That big old machine is anxious to get out on the trails. PRAY FOR SNOW PLEASE!!! I’m sorry to say that our Chili & PINE TREE sc Milford, ME

Chowder Supper and Auction will not be held this year. What a disappoint- ment, but there is no way we could social distance and have a successful auction. Since there isn’t too much activity to tell you about, I’ll close this news- letter with the following: HAPPY TRAILS All the Best to everyone, and stay safe. Kathy Carson, Club Secretary EAST BRANCH SNO-ROVERS & ATV CLUB Medway & East Millinocket, ME We held an Executive Board meet- ing in January but no full club meet- ing due to the virus. We met upstairs in the clubhouse where there is ample room for social distancing. It was reported that volunteers have worked 744 manhours on the trails. There was an unbelievable amount of trees and brush that needed to be cleared. There are pictures and sore muscles to prove it and we certainly thank everyone who worked long hours to get the job done. A lot of brainstorming was done regarding grants we plan to submit. Some exciting ideas were discussed concerning designing a snowmobile decal and it should be awesome. We all look forward to the day when we can gather like we used to. Be safe. Nancy C. Deschene ndesc@myfairpoint.net PARKMAN TRAILBLAZERS Parkman, ME It’s been quite the year so far, but not much to talk of for us snow loving people. Though grounds have remained bare, our awesome club members have been busting it to ensure our trails are ready for grooming. As a club we really pulled together and cleared trails and worked on multiple reroutes, resulting in a full trail system ready to go. Our groomer and drag are ready to go, our members are ready to go, and our riders are ready to go. When the snow comes, the Trail Blazers will be prepared to make a great riding expe- rience. Pray for snow! Steve Marden Hi To All, So far this is the winter that wasn’t, but keep the faith, it will change. Last year, it was about now that we started grooming after losing our Decem- ber snow base and raining in Janu- ary. This year, ice storms with winds QUAD COUNTY sc Springfield, ME

Next up we hope to move to actually going out on the grooming sleds to do the trail work and pack down the trails to make a base. CARMEL sc Carmel, ME Hello MSAMembers,

This year has certainly not gone the way Carmel Snowmobile Club had hope for. With the pandemic raging on, a chance to get out on the snowmobile, seemed like the perfect getaway. As Mother Nature has had other plans, the Carmel club still has
