Administrator, Amy Rich 207-846-5610 amy.rich@islandcommons.com

As 2020 draws to a close – by far the most challenging year in Island Commons’ 20+ year history – we have much to be thankful for and to celebrate. Here is our thank-you list: Our Caregiving Staff, led by Care Manager Christina Skillin. Our wonderful team continues to go above and beyond —every hour of every day —to provide the very best of care, despite the stress and difficulty of working during a pandemic…and all while ensuring the well-being of their own families. Their support for the Commons residents has been extraordinary and has brought joy to all of us during this difficult year. THANK YOU Our intrepid administrator Amy Rich.Amy has worked tirelessly on behalf of the Commons for well over a decade and has skillfully navigated our facility through numerous challenges, especially this year. Perhaps most important to the continued success of the Commons: Amy’s leadership skills, which have elevated working at Commons from merely performing a “job” to a being a valued member of a team with a common, shared mission. That inspires all of us to be our best. Each and every member of that team knows they are appreciated, valued and respected. THANK YOU Our Board of Directors, led by president Susan Stranahan. As a tiny non-profit on a small island, we are so fortunate to have a board with such depth and breadth of expertise and commitment. We may have been able to navigate the year of the pandemic without this special and dedicated group, but it would not have been easy. We definitely would not be in the position we are now in: safe, well-informed, well-equipped, and supported in every way. THANK YOU Susan and board members Carla Clarke, Jim Cox-Chapman, Kip Webb, Vicki Emery, Jim Lunt, Lynne Priest and Sharon Rent. Our entire Chebeague Community. Your heartfelt outpouring of support, encouragement, and kindnesses small and large…these are what have kept us going. It has meant so much to know that the Commons has been in your minds and hearts throughout this extraordinary and challenging year. Your response to our annual appeal speaks volumes. THANK YOU! Happy New Year from the Commons The family of Scott “Big Bear” MCollom is thanking our Island Family for all the cards and kind words on the loss of a kind and gentle soul of Scott our son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin and a friend to many.. He is greatly missed every day.
