ANNUAL REPORT New Gloucester Water District

Over the past year the New Gloucester Water District has focused efforts on maintaining reliable and cost-effective operations. Last year, theAuburn Water District decided that they no longer would be able to operate the pump station and water distribution system for the NGWD. The Trustees are very grateful for the assistance and expertise Auburn Water District provided NGWD since the very beginning of the water system. Auburn Water District has graciously agreed to provide NGWD with meter reading services and will continue to host telemetry of pump station operations and alarms on its radio tower in Auburn. Prior to the end of 2108, the Trustees issued a Request for Proposals to provide operations and maintenance for the pump station and water distribution system. As a result of that process, the District has retained Planet Wastewater to provide those services for the next three years. Mike Broadbent, of Planet Wastewater, has expertise and familiarity with our system. We look forward to working with them to provide great service to our customers. The District’s source well is tested on a regular basis for a range of water quality parameters in accordance with State requirements. We are happy to inform our customers that all recent testing has passed. Our customers can be confident in the high quality and safety of our public water supply. Test results are now posted on the Water District section of the Town webpage for review. New Gloucester Water District thanks its customers and the Town for their continued support. We welcome any feedback or input on how we can best provide service to you.

Respectively Submitted,
