Recompense Fund News

Thank you, Chebeague Community! We have had a wonderful response from our 2018 Annual Report, and donations are still coming in. We heard from many new donors,

many of whom are sons and daughters of historical supporters. Your continuing generosity along with the matching grant from Raymond Family Foundation is establishing our grant-making ability for years to come. We would like to remind the nonprofits of the island that we will be looking for applications for this year’s grant-making process in the next few months. Also a reminder that February 15 is the deadline for Maine Community Foundation’s Community Building Grant Program. You may go to www.mainecf.org to apply.

Bookkeeper Needed!

Our long-time bookkeeper is retiring. The Historical Society is looking for someone to take over that role. Must be Quickbooks capable, entering our transactions, cutting our checks and creating monthly reports. $20 per
